Thanks, that edit was all I needed.

on 4 systems it Destiny sold just around 2 mill in a week

From your link I found this one:

http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/41588/Global/

Ghost released on the last gen consoles and out of the two it sold over 6 mil in 1 week. while a lot of people held out to get in on ps4 and xb1 that both managed to sell near 2 mil with in 24 hours of it being available to them if memory serves.

It isn't even close.

and with the reviews, I don't see the interest in destiny reaching much more than who were initially interested.

we'll see,..  CoD wasn't a very big franchise when it first released on last gen hardware.  each year the franchise grew a few more million units until it because the juggarnaught it is today.

destiny reviews can suck a dick.. word of mouth from those that play it is good and word of mouth is a waay more powerful market influence than reviews are.   watch to see if destiny has legs because i believe it will.   when destiny 2 releases i think we'll see much better numbers as well.

Well that would still have it falling short from beating cod overall but I'd be impressed if even that much happens, Ghost is still the top selling game on both systems right?

or did something fly over my head?

Destiny PS4 > CoD PS4
Destiny Xbone > Cod PS4

Destiny PS4 + Xbone > CoD PS4 + Xbone

CoD PS3 > Destiny PS4 by a lot
CoD 360 > Destiny 360 by a lot

CoD PS360 > Destiny PS360

CoD 4 systems > Destiny 4 systems

That it... this year AW will do 5-6 million on PS4/Xbone... Destiny will do 7-8 million on PS4/Xbone.

Destiny word of mouth is really good.

Destiny won't be a CoD killer because they probably won't be competing. Destiny was released in September where CoD is usually released in November. I'm sure you can expect this every year, Activision releasing Destiny in September then two months later release CoD.

The games won't be competing with each other. Now if only other developers can understand this concept they won't send games off to die then complain that they got low sales for such and such because not only did they release them in the biggest game release months of the year, but they released five of their own games within weeks of one another.

Destiny will have almost outsold Ghosts (PS4) almost 1 year sales (2.55m) in a week.

See US sales: http://www.vgchartz.com/tools/game_comparison.php?reg=USA&ending=Cumulative&game%5B%5D=Destiny+%28PS4%29+%5B71525%5D&game%5B%5D=Call+of+Duty%3A+Ghosts+%28PS4%29+%5B72126%5D&game%5B%5D=&game%5B%5D=

they are also very different games.  i've never been interested in CoD but i'm in love with destiny.  i'm not much of a competitive mp guy but i love co-op so destiny's strikes and raids are my online multiplayer gaming bliss.   i'm sure there are more gamers like myself and right now, as far as i'm concerned, destiny has no competition.

Ahh so titan fall beat cod on the bone?

Man that could have been a legitimate threat had it been a multi plat. I underestimated it.

To be fair we don't have sales data from neither Activision or EA ;)
