Yeah, I haven't been around lately so I don't know if it was brought up yet.

but a few months back before destiny released, there had been a lot of talk about it being the cod killer (like other things.....)

So yeah, it's been out a few weeks now, I don't know how to hunt the numbers but for what it can be compared to, how'd those early sales figures compare to ghost?

I know it's not all that fair on any front as, more people have moved from last gen games to new games from back then, ps4 had sold somewhere over 1 million consoles maybe 2 by the time ghost hit it and were around 10 million when destiny hit.....so yeah, big difference.

BUT, I just want a reference. I guess the overall number for a week or two would be the best for comparison sake.......

..........Does destiny's chances of being the best selling game on next gen systems for even a second look like a remote possibility? because that's what i'd take to kill cod.

I doubt Activision is looking to make a COD killer.

This will look like a massacre hehe, due to their small userbase last year.

Destiny will sell more than CoD on PS4/Xbone but it will sell less if you add PS360 sales.

yeah,. not really a fair comparision but i am interested to see how advanced warfare holds up to destiny.

on 4 systems it Destiny sold just around 2 mill in a week

Ghost released on the last gen consoles and out of the two it sold over 6 mil in 1 week. while a lot of people held out to get in on ps4 and xb1 that both managed to sell near 2 mil with in 24 hours of it being available to them if memory serves. 

It isn't even close.

and with the reviews, I don't see the interest in destiny reaching much more than who were initially interested.

So, basically, Activision wins. If they are in a fight with themselves over the top selling FPS, I think its statistically impossible for them to lose.

Well that would still have it falling short from beating cod overall but I'd be impressed if even that much happens, Ghost is still the top selling game on both systems right?

True.........but I doubt destiny can even compete with battle field........or rather BEAT battle field.

It has to do that before competing with cod.
