Forums - Nintendo - 2015 for Wii U will be nowhere near the droughts we had in 2013 and 2014

Saw your reply to me in that other thread, which was pretty much your OP, so I'll put my response here :)

Star Fox, Xenoblade, and Zelda may not even be 2015 titles, hell even more may be delayed. They are known for having those types of delays which increase the drought.

Just imagine if Nintendo had 3rd party coupled with those 1st party titles. I don't think ANYONE could complain about droughts. But since they don't everything falls on the first party, which again has been proven to have delays.

I think the larger EAD Tokyo group is already working on Mario Galaxy 3 (or whatever they want to call the next big 3D Mario game), but it's for the Fusion platform launch window, not Wii U.

Wii U has gotten or is getting NSMBU + Luigi U, Mario 3D World, Mario Maker, and possibly will get a Galaxy 1/2 HD Collection (Mario 64/Sunshine remakes too?), that's plenty of Mario for a system that is their lowest selling console.

There's no point in wasting another 3D Mario on Wii U, if you haven't bought one with NSMBU + NSLU, Mario Maker, Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros, Mario amiibos, possibly Mario Galaxy 1/2/Mario 64/Sunshine remakes (?) ... odds are you were never going to buy one any way for any type of Mario game.

The next Nintendo platform *must* have an incredible launch or their future in the game hardware business begins to look very poor indeed. They cannot repeat the 3DS and Wii U launches.

Crazy how the Wii U managed to make 9 games in a year seem like a lot to its fans.

This is only E3 games, there are some unannounced ones also that might come out, plus we don't get third party games

Nintendo's pretty much unloaded all its bullets at this point. So a chance of unannounced games is highly unlikely. Would you be holding out your announcements if ur console was selling 40k per week for the past 2 years?

Star Fox was never announced and sure bet is it's not for 2015.

Nintendo did just that throughout 2013. There will almost certainly be 2015 games we don't know about yet.

Haven't been following Nintendo news/rumors for very long have you? Nintendo always holds back announcements. Always. When the GCN was totally bombing they held back information so that they could launch it strategically. These guys don't know the meaning of the word haste - that's why they're bleeding money right now and smiling like they control the market. It bites them in the backside every now and again but they are very slow to change.

I think I remember a thread about this for 2014, then everything for delayed for 2015.

As every year (this isn't Nintendo only at all) expect lots of delays.

I'm going to be upset if Zelda U gets delayed to 2016... -__-

Xenoblade Chronicles X will definitely be 2015, no doubt about that. Take a look at E3 treehouse videos, you can see the development is near the end. I think it'll be ready in the middle of the year, and I think we'll have it not long after its japanese release.

For Star Fox and Zelda, I do agree they'll probably be 2016 titles in the end.

About OP, I think there is no drought in 2014 : Donkey Kong Country, Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, Super Smash Bros, Captain Toad... That's actually a very good year !
