Yeah, Wii sold really fast but have no legs.
If the PS4 can keep close to Wii numbers it will be a real monster, as Sony consoles always have long beautiful legs xD

Ineed, i again think that PS4 will sell like or even MORE than the PS2 ok, maybe not 170,000,000, but arounf 150-160 million isn't impossible... 120,000,000 at the minimum.

I still expect 120M, but it Japan wanna jump really hard again this gen after FF15, then maybe it can do 130M.

This is PS2 number:

2000 5,61M
2001 16,07M
2002 21,29M
2003 19,76M

I don't know why, but PS2 have broke the peak in 2002... and the funny fact is that in 2006(the year of PS3 resaled) have sold more than the 2003, 2004, and 2005.

If PS4 the third year, will sell more than the second year, i think that will close th PS2 number.

Will sell probabily 20,000,000 next year, so, will must sell 21-22M in 2016.

With FF XV resaaled in Japan, one good price drop, and other games in west, will probabily happen.

Too early to try to predict 2016 as we don't even know the games that will come out that year, but I think it will be the same as the PS2, with the peak in 2015 and a little less in 2016, because 2015 is so filled with great games already that I find hard to it to perform that well again next year, but who knows, what if SE slap us in the face with FF15 coming only in 2016, that can make 2016 >2015 with some other good stuff comming (don't know what).

But maybe, much game predict for 2015 will be delayed 2016!

In 2013 much people have said "in 2014 the game are infinity!"

And yep, we all know how is happen... XD

I think the ps4 could easily do 20 million next year. It's looking like 16 million this year.

It sold about 5,8mn the first 8 months of this year so that means another 6,2mn from August to December 31st. I am not sure it will make it but hopefully.

I don't see a price drop coming anytime soon. Or 20M shipments. Its not total domination, and holidays this year will be best predictors of next year. Next year 7M sales? Price maybe $10-30 off?
