It means 72% of PS4 console sales were the bundle.

EDIT: Text has been changed to: The Bungie developed title also continues to give a strong boost to PS4 hardware sales with over 72% of the hardware format being the Destiny hard bundle.

Thanks for the update!  Okay I knew that sentence must have been incorrectly constructed if it meant PS4 hardware sales lol.

bana king is right. they often made similar statements.

like for the titanfall bundle...

Yes thanks, they updated the language and now I see what you guys mean.  Thanks.

cant be possible, if u look at the individual chart

if 72% of destiny sales are on ps4

the xbox one version and x360 cant be ahead of every other individual sku.

because we still konw destiny sold 90k for all formats.

that would leave just 25k for x1 + x360 + ps3

bana king is right. they often made similar statements.

Yep, GFK Chart-Track have changed the sentence. I've updated the OP

That is an excellent calc. 90k is the absolute minimum it could have sold all formats. So if the split was once again 46% for ps4 that is 41k on ps4 and 29k for PS4 hardware.

Now this is where things get interesting because we had PS4 estimated at 32k last week.  So thst would be a very small drop.

why? its not the absolute minimum

its the absolute maximum

cuz we know it was the 14. biggest realse of all time

We know it the absolute minimum because we know that Destiny was the biggest launch for a new IP in the UK.  VGChartz shows that Watch_Dogs, the previous champion, sold 411k across all formats during launch, so, we know that if this site is correct, the first week of sales in UK could not have been below 411k.

If Destiny had a 78% drop across all formats then the very minimum it coiuld have sold would be:

28% of 411k or 90k.  It absolutely cannot be lower than that if we go by the UK data on this site.

go to the last pal chart on neogaf

only call of duty, fifa and battelfield had bigger launch

and the biggest battelfield launch was ~413k

thats how we got our 412k maximum number for week one ;)

That's not bad for Hyrule Warriors at all.

The PS3 version of Destiny is really underperforming, imo.  I know it's not got the Bungie connection, but it's included as part of the exclusive advertising (and getting the exclusive DLC), but it's still doing nothing.

Hyrule Warriors was developed by Omega Force? wut? XD

I don't understand what the problem is here?  It was developed by Omega Force.

Do they have numbers for Watch_Dogs?  Is this site accurate?  Obviously you see my issue here.

Oh yeah, and if 412k is the maximum, 411k could still be the minimum if the Warch_Dog numbers are accurate... I'm gussing not.

Obviously, we are seeing how difficult it is to make an accurate calculation with innaccurate information.  How do you guys operate in this enviorment with so much uncertain data lol.

I don't know about the rest of the west but Hyrule Warriors has had a surprising amount of advertising here in Australia. I imagine the UK would have been similar.

yes. watch_dogs is ~388k (im not 100% sure, if this number is 95% market coverage or 100%. i know the 412 destiny is 100%)

all formats first week uk

btw:

tlofu rmk is at 4.8k this week on #11

Thank you for finding the discrepency in my calulation... but this gives me even less faith in the data presented here.  I will use the PAL charts on NeoGaf form now on when avaliable.

That's actually an excellent thing for Sony since it shows that people are hyped for PS4 version and upgrade faster than MS side.
