Wow, Quinton proving that his words aren't to be listened too. How does one use Youkai Watch's legs as a defence for Bayo2?? Shit I thought I said stupid things on here.

I see that went over your head.

The first 3 days of Youkai Watch being on the market didn't fortell to its further success. No one knew it would suddenly explode into the success it is today until much later. Saying the first 3 days is the highest a game will sell is pretty silly. The same happened with SM3DW.

If this has all happened before, then why are you arguing with people who are clearly nutjobs? Take a deep breath, get off VGchartz for a while and go get some fresh air. The same people who are calling Bayo 2 a "flop" are the same ones who were calling the 3DS a flop in 2011.

Not really that surprised at Bayonnetta 2. If this is a reflection of what it will do elsewhere than this game is one of those that is getting a lot of internet hype just because it is exclusive.

Yeah, clearly we are the nutjobs here. Did you care to check the first Bayonettas sales pattern in Japan? Bayonetta 1 sold over 67% of its lifetime sales in Japan in its first week!! That is why it's very much legitimate to use this first week performance as an indicator of its lifetime performance in Japan.

Wow. So at this point Nintendo fanboys can quit pretending that Nintendo audience is interested in anything more than childish cartoony games.

This game bombing harder than Bayo1 on X360 (!!) is telling. It's hard to believe, but it only shows the damage Nintendo caused to its audience with the Wii. I hope they still enjoy the money they made on it, cause now they reap what they sow. The strategy of releasing previous gen hardware and showing the middle finger to 3rd parties and core gamers had to come back to them. And the time of vengeance of the market is now.

We'll see what it does in the West, it can't get worse than this, but I wouldn't be holding my breath and expecting even only decent numbers.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

3D World still hasn't sold well, so you should really stop using it as a defence. Youkai Watch grew in popularity thanks for a very popular anime that gets better ratings than Pokemon. That situation isn't applicable to Bayonetta and the audience targeted by Bayonetta 2 is so completely unlike Youkai Watch (it's aimed at children).

Once again, move past the denial stage of grief.

SM3DW sold over 2 million copies. You're saying that's not good?

Look, stop trying to defend your flawed opinion and just sucuum to reason and common sense. 1 day's worth of sales cannot possibly provide you enough information to determine the success or failure of a game.

.  Platinum needs to prove their games can sell regardless on which consoles they end up on.

platinum needs to fire their marketing team.

look at this crap

they r trying to sell bayonetta like a porn simulator instead of a action game.

i didnt bought bayo1 bcuz i thought it was another weird japanese game, but fortunately i borrow the the game from causin

and turns out to be the real DMC sequel.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with this!

Those are 1 day sales for Bayonetta 2. It released 20th september. So maybe 30k for the first day isn't that bad?

So by your standards Destiny on PS4 was also a flop in Japan?

So your entire statement belittling people who enjoy Nintendo platforms more than others is quite a bit uncalled for.

I suppose you're right.

I'm just worried by all of this misinformation and lies. Many people are easily convinced of things that are simply not true - and even if Bayonetta 2 proves the naysayers wrong, they'll harp on another topic to spread more misinformation, and yet, more and more people will be convinced of this false information.

However, even knowing this perpetual cycle, I always feel like I have a chance to at least inform those who are not sure of the circumstances. Convincing one person is enough for me.

Oh stop your self satisfied bullshit, you've proven more than once on here already that you don't understand how video game sales work and in this thread you've now proven that you especially don't understand how japanese video game sales work. When you have tons of people in here telling you that this indicates a huge flop, including people that have followed sales for years now, then you should maybe start realizing that you're in the wrong here.
