Strange. Online Multiplayer was something that was fun on Revelations. And for that they had to omit a 3DS-version?

It doesn't bother me!

Multiple people are making comments like this... I'm glad to see that it has support for local multiplayer, which is an often-desired feature by many. However, it could certainly hurt sales for it to not support online multiplayer, which can hurt future releases at least.

It also could be an indicator that the multiplayer components aren't very good. They might not want to invest in server support for a feature that's not very well worked out.

This is a horror game too, and typically they are scarier when alone. If you have someone in the same room and something scares them, you can look at their screen section and see what is happening. When they're just connected over voice chat, they'd have to calm themselves down enough to alert about what is happening. So it can be immersion breaking and damaging to the horror atmosphere.

You shouldn't look at only one aspect of the feature and determine that it is good for the game series as a whole (and thereby you).

I'm self aware that the lack of online multiplayer could mean many negative things, but I just couldn't care less! :/
