Nice boost for PS4 and huge drop for XBO. I wasn't expecting it to be that low in its second week.

Oh wow... the Xbox was not what I though it would be, I expect it to drop by 20k after the launch week.... not 22k... lol Next week it'll be down to 1k probably and then be competing against the 360 in Japan.

Okay, since you've been away, I can also inform you that Batman: Arkham Knight is a PS4 exclusive in Japan.

Once PS4 has a bunch of games that appeals to the Japanese audience, its baseline should increase to a more respectable level. Having western 3rd party games exclusively in Japan doesn't hurt either. Curious to see how much Bloodborne, Dragon Quest Heroes, and Persona 5 will do for the the PS4.

For the guys that said destiny gave PS4 a bigger boost than MK8 I have some words for you.
Bundle vs no Bundle. seriously. That's it. If mk8 was bundled they would have more than doubled that number (again I'm a little pissed with nintendo of japan). Seriously nintendo, where are the damn bundles!

Bundle or no bundle, it's still the same thing : Biggest nintendo IP in Japan against new western IP in Japan, so it's pretty impressive and shows PS4 is the most popular home console there.

TBH I was expecting a 90% drop for Xb one, so 3k for the week is ever so slightly better than I thought it would be. Could it's Japan baseline sit at around 1000 or is it destined to fall into the 3 digit range? Sony buying exclusivity for games like Destiny in Japan isn't good for Xb one. Though perhaps the latest financial news about Sony means they have no money left to throw around at 3rd party exclusives.

Good boost for PS4. But people should not kid themselves that it's Destiny pushing that boost, it's the white PS4, no doubt.

When you look at the One's numbers, I highly doubt Sony even had to buy exclusivity for western titles.
