This game was probably being worked on the second Kinect sports 2 came out. The kinect was still pretty good successful then I think

They seem to be milking things to death, F5 was the worst forza with half the content missing and behind pay walls.

I have lower expectations for the next Gears and Halo, Fable is near dead already they killed ensemble studios and killed Age of Empires. Nokia phones... do they even exist any more ? No need to mention Rare. Kinect is near dead.

They do have a certain track record.

It was 2011 so yeah, Kinect was still relevant. Around 2012, people started to dismiss it however. I'm sure MS pushed to make this happen and Rare thought they had an easy saler, as you said but the signs were there. Less than 5 mil install based, Kinect becoming obscure, abysmal Xb1 reveal reception.

Ironically, the PS4 camera is actually doing quite well right now despite it being totally optional. Can't say the same about the Kinect because no one is buying the Kinect X1 SKU.

Forza 5 was a launch title. Forza Horizons 2 is looking amazing. Nokia was already bleeding money when it was bought. Kinect is ms. Don't worry the next gears will be better that judgement and halo 5 will be better than halo 4.

The ps4 camera is like 40 bucks haha. And it seems to be quite popular in China and other places outside of America in comparison to Kinect less 

They take a lot of risk and have a lot of failures.

Look at Sony, they said 4 out 10 games they make are profitable, closed numerous studios, and have run IPs into the ground. They aren't even relevant in the mobile gaming anymore. Yet some people think they're on the top of their game.

That's the vidja game industry!

Well, the impression that Sony is at the top of their game is likely based in no small part ON the risks they took.

Microsoft took risks, no doubt, but after the Kinect came out, all their risk-taking was reserved for that platform, meaning that if you didn't own a Kinect, or even owned one but decided those games weren't for you, the content being piled on there didn't really draw your notice, or interest. Meanwhile, the base console saw a relative drought of new, exclusive content, during the same period Sony was starting to put out a fairly steady stream. It was a monotony broken up only by a few PC-ported games, such as Minecraft or the Witcher 2, for which Microsoft wouldn't have spent any significant development costs. No new non-Kinect IPs in four years, and few in the way of retail exclusives, just led to the Xbox 360 looking like a sleepy sheepdog, fat and content on its success and dozing quietly in the corner. xP

Hopefully, if they ARE done trying to push the Kinect, they'll be putting more effort into producing core system games this generation.

Yes I agree but I can't forgive them for what they've done to Rare.
