I don't think you understand. Rivals is recent. I'm talking about Kinect sports 1 and 2. They made Kinect sports 1. They thought it was amazing how it sold and wanted to make a sequel. Kinect sports 2 they thought they finally got a hit on their hands and made Kinect sports rivals thinking it was going to be a success. I said that they wanted to make games that they thought would be successful. They thought Kinect sports rivals would be successful. What doesn't make sense? Now that they know it's no successful they're not making a sequal

Gotcha, but I don't know why you left that out of the OP. Technicaly, MS pulled the plug on Kinect (as far as support and advetisement) last gen near the end and comepletely fucked anybody working on dedicated Kinect games by taking out the "essential" hardware for the Xbox One experience. This crippled their sales even further, not that it was gonna sell like its predecessors. I can't imagine Rare wanting to do KSR on their own, knowing how little push Kinectic was getting.

This game was probably being worked on the second Kinect sports 2 came out. The kinect was still pretty good successful then I think

It was 2011 so yeah, Kinect was still relevant. Around 2012, people started to dismiss it however. I'm sure MS pushed to make this happen and Rare thought they had an easy saler, as you said but the signs were there. Less than 5 mil install based, Kinect becoming obscure, abysmal Xb1 reveal reception.
