Guacamelee is also a remake/remaster, and Resogun is 2013.

It could be that rare case where a re-release like GTA V or the Last of Us wins GOTY (again) or maybe even Halo master chief collection

There have been a lot of decent games this year but nothing truly spectacular like in 2013.

Infamous, destiny, wolfenstein, watch dogs all decent but not good enough for GOTY

Mario Kart, Smash, Far Cry, Assassins Creed Unity or Rogue (maybe), Bayonetta 2 all have good chances

Smash Bros. U seems to have the highest chance to me.
Otherwise AC, FC4 and DA:I.
I'd love to see Bayonetta 2 getting some love though.

Doesn't anybody here realise japanese games never win GOTY? It is always an high budget movie-like 'game' like Uncharted, Tomb Raider or Last of Us.

Depends on who awards the 'GOTY'. There is no official GOTY. As for best game this year, Mario Kart is out in front by a long shot. Can only see Smash beating it

I assumed this was about Spike's VGA since it is probs the largest awardshow for games.
