Maybe he should have done, then it would be better than Bayo 2 lol.
Also, what the hell does a four-year-old game even have to do with a GOTY thread, you truncheon.
WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

Also Bayonetta doesn't come close to being the best hack and slash game, that goes to God Of War III. |
GoW3's comparatively sluggish and simplistic combat holds it back from being in Bayonetta's league.

It would be better anyways. Any God Of War game >>>> Bayonetta. Heck even Platinum's own Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is better than Bayonetta.

Slower combat doesn't mean worse. COD for example has way more fast-paced combat than Halo, doesn't mean its better.
God Of War is simplistic at Easy and Normal difficulties, I agree, but on Hard and Very Hard modes you really need to get a heck of the combat and the various combos you can pull off.
Not to mention that Bayonetta doesn't even come close in terms of scale, boss fights, epicness, narrative or polish really.

I'd contend that slower is indeed worse when it comes to hack 'n' slash; dancing through the battlefield in a fluid, unbroken dance of death is much more empowering than slogging through foes. Plus Bayonetta's combat offers a lot more depth and variety.

Okay I'm done with you. I just saw some of your posts and you clearly favour Nintendo games and put down PlayStation exclusives. Now I see why you don't think GOW is even in the same league as Bayonetta, even though its almost universally accepted.

Whether it's "universally accepted" doesn't really matter to me, honestly. I can form my own opinion, I don't need reviewers or whoever to tell me what to think.
Bayonetta was fun but I don't see how more of the same with pretty graphics could be the best game of the year.
Games that I will likely think is better for game of the year...
Destiny
South Park: Stick of Truth
Dark Souls 2
Mario Kart 8
Super Smash Bros for Wii U
Far Cry 4
Dragon Age: Inquisition

I certainly hope Bayonetta 2 does well. Nintendo needs all the 3rd party support it can get.
I just don't think it will be a GOTY contender, based on the sheer levels of awesome coming out this holiday season.
