This is great news! We should see at least one more BIG monolith U project by the end of the gen.

I hope its another new IP for Nintendo. Xeno-games look massive enough to deserve the 'one per console' approach.
It feels weird reading the term "lay HD development groundwork" in 2014 :p

Pretty sure that is more of a phrase than a term, if anything.
When gaming IS your business they really should have been much better prepared for HD- Nor being remotely prepared essentials insured the Wii U as a failed console generation for Nintendo- I understand the generation is not over and it s doing better than it had been- however it is still on track for historically poor performance ( business wise) - barring a miracle the Wii u will finish the current generation somewhere between very bad and total disaster from. Nintnedo s perspective
it's almost 2015 and for them to only be learning about hd graphics is pathetic
Looking forward to it. Xenoblade was a quality rpg. Much better than most of the HD ones imo. I would know as i am an expert on them and only play the best.
Well at least it'll release before Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III!

Very impressive for a first attempt.
The first forays of most devs into HD were clumsy and haphazard.
Then again, Monolith have better hardware to work with (Wii U) than most others did. (PS3/360)
The important part isn't the graphics, to be honest, its the fact they have a clear and useful vision of how to properly augment the game with the gamepad while tricking the uninitiated into thinking it'll be as good with a pro-controller.
