Forums - Nintendo - Xenoblade Chronicles X helped Monolith Soft to lay HD development groundwork

it's almost 2015 and for them to only be learning about hd graphics is pathetic

They have never been scheduled to work on any HD platform before this game. Why is it pathetic that their first HD game is where they lay down the groundwork for HD development?

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

The important part isn't the graphics, to be honest, its the fact they have a clear and useful vision of how to properly augment the game with the gamepad while tricking the uninitiated into thinking it'll be as good with a pro-controller.

This. They already got me thinking that the game with the GamePad is better than with a Pro Controller.

Largely because of the map, though.

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

:3

i want the view of a second character on the gamepad screen. And also I would like to choose the arts/skills used for the second character by touching the screen.

Having the map off the screen is a really underrated feature, it makes the HUD less cluttered and will allow me to se more of those orgasmic landscapes. :)

Japanese developers in a nutshell. Except a few ones rest are struggling. After the long ps2 life they got wii. Cant blame them.

I blame Ninty for that.

That doesn't make any sense considering that the PS3 was the main platform for Japanese 3rd parties last gen.

DS, 3DS. PSP

But it seems Monoltuh learns a lot faster than most western developers. X looks georgous.

Well they have had the benefit of 7 plus years of trial and error placed before them. Without a doubt they would of benefitted from the efforts of other developers who came before them and all the middleware and engine improvements made since 2006. Not to mention that the Wii U is more powerful then PS3 and 360.

I hope we're able to scribble on our maps and fast travel via tap. That'd be great.
