Bad news, Japan is crucial to the Xbox brand.
Frankly, if the X1 sells 500K in Japan I would consider that a success. Japan is moving away from home consoles and even handheld consoles.

This is a bad news no one can deny it. But what usually happen is that you get your first game from the same place you got your console. Since this retailer don't sell the console, there is still hope that it did better and games will show on Famitsu and other trackers.
None of the american games topped the charts in Japan? O_o

Of course, the X1 pre-orders would fall off a cliff and here we are now...
People acting like if it was all expected when a lot believed it would reach 30k at least.
