You know what would be hilarious . If instead of a lawsuit they just delay the xbox version. That would be funny. Though I still wonder if the people who hold the rights to the Destiny fragrance will sue. It's not game related, but it is free money.

Let's hope MS doesnt face anything for this ad
this basically opens up Sony to similar tactics if they havent already. However, no matter what Sony does at this point they'll be considered the "good guys". So people shouldnt worry too much

Hypocrites.
In this day and age, with the Internet, ignorance is a choice! And they're still choosing Ignorance! - Dr. Filthy Frank

I find it funny too, but i do believe that can cost them in their future relationship with activision.
I mean, if ATVI allows that, than the value of "exclusive ad option" will decrease.
Than again, i don't really care about ATVI.
And yes, there is a lot of hypocrisy in this topic.

Lol some poeple are really affected by this destiny fragrance. Chill out, relax people...you are making the ad a success with all those comments. I thought MS was incompetent in the PR department, they just proved me wrong.

You're not getting what he is saying. Both companies doing it is wrong but Sony didn't take the mick out of MS for advertising CoD all the time on Xbox only. And Destiny being translated for Xbox in Japan just wouldn't be worth it financially for Activision. Neither Sony or MS are winning in the TR case. |
@Bold: Would you not say that is Sony fault. If Sony was not wise or smart enough to advertise COD without advertising it then its more their miss opportunity then them being above it all. It really seems people cannot separate the business side of games definitely when it comes to big corporations. If a corporation doesn't do something especially if it favors them, majority of the time its because they did not think about it.
Think about all of the stuff Sony has done that MS has done first. If they had any type of moral high ground they would never do those things. Instead they never thought of doing those things or was late to implement them. There is no moral high ground any corporation really adhere to unless it further their best interest.

Yet I've yet to see any post from anyone that clearly showed they were upset or bothered by this. It looks like the consensus is that this is both hilarious and sad on MS's part. Seriously it makes me feel bad for them. I mean this is pretty much scraping the bottom of the barrel. |
Where is the sad part coming from. First and foremost, multiple sites have post this ad. Multiple forums has discussed the ad. Awareness for MS products and bundles is the result of this ad. If anythign there isn't anything sad at all but very clever way to advertise your product with a game that is getting a lot of buzz. The only way you can look at this being sad is if you are totally pro blue then of course its bad by definition.
For me it's all about integrity.
The ad is funny, but it brings MS into dispute, because they are happy to break contracts, which is ironic considering they have done a deal for COD every year and they won't even talk about the TR deal without telling the truth.

But what if it was writing in a contract? As in MS paid for the special early DLC and exclusive advertising rights. So Sony couldn't advertise CoD, even if they wanted to. Even mick taking was probably too close or they just couldn't be bothered. They had better things to do like advertise all the games they were making or spending their money making more games.
*Thinks* Paying for online play, no moral high ground at all there for anyone, other than Nintendo and all PC games. Well done them.
Hmm, pie.

It will smell like nothing. But if you accidentally spray it in your mouth, it will definitely taste like salt.
