Forums - Gaming - Here in the UK, we apparently have limited taste in games...

FIFA 15 currently holds numbers 3,4,6,7,10,12,16 & 17...

Damn. That does seem limited. Hey, you said it first. Only thing that is consistent in Canadian Amazon chartz is the Ouyaaa. The console has been nearly in the top 10 since it was announced while rest of the things come and go.

It always amazes me how well FIFA sells year after year after year here. I probably get one every 3-4 years (one a gen pretty much) and that's fine with me. But the success is truly mind-boggling.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I think you are looking at the wrong time. Look in say February next year and the list would be very different. Just before FIFA comes out, well the best sellers list will have FIFA on it.

I don't think that would work either. FIFA is in the top 5 for pretty much the whole year until the next one comes out. Happens every single year, it's good. Us Brits recognise how great a game FIFA is and how infinitely superior it is to that other football game...

Well, when it's really the only choice. PES isn't what it used to be. Anyway, my point still stands, 3 weeks before release FIFA 15 will clog up the charts, in Feb, it might only be in the top 20 for PS4, yes it's still up there but not like just before release.

Hmm, pie.

Can we like keep it that way? ...UK is always fast with dropping in price cause the games don't sell.. which we in mainland europe are very happy about..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

FIFA TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I buy FIFA every year and I'm not at all sorry. I probably get more value from it that any other game, it's just a way of life here

But don't worry, I buy real games too. BUT FIFA

Most people in the UK think Knack is a better game Super Mario 3D World! ;) (but I think they'll change their minds on that this holiday)

To give the UK some credit, 3D World has been outselling Knack weky for quite a while now!

Seriously? The UK has let me down

Knack's 5 minutes of fame  in the UK ended pretty soon, I know!

I get people loving fifa and everyone should have their preferences. But you love it and dont buy it every year, how a esport game should be. Its not like its a diferent game from last year, they dont even improove the fisics all that much to be notisable. Its just a few characters moded, to look slighty diferent, maybe some new characters, maybe diferent clothes but this is not new game content, this is barely DLC content. This clearly confuses me when it comes to esports.

As someone who buys FIFA every year, I think I can clear the confusion. Simply put, even if the gains / improvemnets are marginable; core fans of the series will see the upgrade as worthwhile. The the more casual fan the diferences do not justify the upgrade cost. That's basic consumerism right there.

It's no diferent in other industries such as bikes, cameras, phones etc.

Actually they are a lot more different than you think. After playing the new one for a while if you go back to an older one you really do notice a big different.

Besides, the player transfers alone are pretty much worth it

If you where going from last gen to current gen then I would agree with you, Otherwise then no, its not worth it.
