Whenever someone says how LBP3 , The Last of Us, etc, is nothing but a higher resolution port some Sony fan always brings up The Master Chief Collection.
Wth MCC, you can play Halo Anniversary 1, 3, and 4 in native HD and widescreen, just like you can with LBP3, The Last of Us, Tomb Raider, etc. With Halo 2, you can only play it 4:3 upscaled with textures from two generations ago and can no longer play it online. Halo 2 is being brought back online, updated to 16:9 widescreen, and native 1080p, with a complete graphics overhaul exclusive to the Xbox One. This is in the same vein as Final Fantasy 4 Complete Collection, Super Mario All Stars, Dragon Quest 3 on the Super Famicom or Gameboy Color, SMT Persona, Ocarina of Time 3D, etc. It's not a full remake similar to games like Wild ARMs Alter Code F, Lunar The Silver Star Story Complete, Tales of Destiny 2, Brigandine Grand Edition, Mega Man Powered Up, Mega Man Maverick Hunter X, Ys Oath in Felghana, etc, where the games follow the same structure as the original but have not only a major overhaul to their graphics, but also major changes on how the game plays.
I'd hope people would realize how stupid they look saying "but MCC on the Xbox One" and quit saying it. It's not in the same as an upscaled port.
