Things are getting mixed up here.
Nintendo Japan said the thing about keeping the emplyees, not europe and it refered specifically to developers.
Was expected with the way their product is performing over there.
They meant Japanese employees, not American/European employees.
All of Nintendo's games but a small handful are made in Japan, that's the core of the company, employees of NOE or NOA don't count (not saying this is right or wrong, but that's Nintendo logic I think). American/European staff are expendible.
It sucks that they had to let go of so many people, but Sony and MS did the same a few years/ months ago...so slimming down seems to be a necassity in this day and age.

they fired people because they dont work good. fireing people in germany isnt cheap, they have good reasons for that i guess.
it sucks for the people, but they shouldnt have a problem finding a new job. if u are under 50 and able to read getting a new job in germany isnt problem, and if they dont find something new, we have a good social system, they dont have to sleep in the street, blwoing peole for foodmoney...

Fifa 15 is WIi U's worst enemy in EU. But the second best game should retake the land

But then Wii U has to worry about Fifa 16 and potentially Fifa 17! There are also some noteworthy X1 exclusives coming down the road. If MS stays competitive then Wii U will lose Europe.
Mario Kart gave the Wii U a nice boost, Smash Bros will help too, but those are the biggest titles Wii U will ever get. The X1 is just getting started.

Agreed. Bombing should mean the competition is destroying it. The ps4 isn't destroying it and the xbox1 is doing even worse. They are doing average in Europe.
