PS4 hasn't even started in Japan. It will have more exclusives and all the 3rd parties for itself. Sony has already won on home consoles.

Bayonetta 2 is on WiiU so 3rd parties all for itself is already wrong... (1)

They haven't already won as well. PS4 can still do 5mil-8mil lifetime, depending on wat the situation will be. Look at vita, has more 3rd party support than the 3ds and yet cant beat it in a single week this year (2)

(1) It is published by Nintendo, no matter how you spin it it's a 1st party game.

(2) Senseless comparison. 3DS has games that appeals to a far wider audience than Vita. WiiU has proven that it can't go beyond Nintendo enthusiasts in Japan, whereas PS4 is likely to expand its audience with games like FFXV, KH3, MGSV, Tekken 7 and the many 3rd party games that will come during this generation. In case you didn't notice first 6 months doesn't equal an entire generation.

I kno 6 months=/=generation, in fact like most people i expect the ps4 to win in japan over WiiU (i dont think we need to talk about X1 here). I just see people (this not directing @U) tht believe PS4 is automatically going to dominate japan. The way its looking now, WiiU will be 3-4mil in japan and ps4 will do 5-7mil. I mean Vita a HH in japan is barely going to hit 4mil if it does hit that by years end, i dont see even with ps4 major 3rd party games hitting close to 10mil with the way consoles are doing in general

I still expect the PS4 to emerge as the top console in Japan despite it's start.

How can they lose something that hasn't even started?

PS4/Vita haven't released in japan yet?

In case of games and holidays happening, the PS4 hasn't released yet. That's like declaring a loss at the first 10m of a 100m dash.

Vita is doing fine over ther but who cares about handhelds.

There's nothing really to lose when there is no console market there to begin with. So basically both Nintendo and Sony lost Japan entirely (console wise). 3DS still sells but even that is not putting anywhere near DS numbers.

Dragon Quest XI will be for the Nintendo Fusion platform IMO. You'll be able to play it at home or on the go. Maaaybe there will be a Wii U or 3DS version also to allow Square-Enix to stretch out sales.

I don't think either Wii U or PS4 is outselling even the Vita in Japan LTD.

The only reason it's losing is no Japanese third party support. And they haven't the nerve to make freaking Knack the Pack-In?

How did you know that was the Pack-In?

So you've started Internet stalking me? I checked Wikipedia, by the way.
