This poll pretty much proves the brain deadness and biased views of users on here, lol

Got to wonder either the forum is highly skewed towards Nintendo fans, or a lot of Sony fans are voting against their rival Xbox.

The last time I checked, Nintendo has sold more consoles than XB1 and is currently outselling them weekly as well.

Now lets consider the alternative:
Lets assume that XB1 is the one that is currently in the lead and is outselling Nintendo weekly.  Who would you vote for?  Would you vote for XB1 or would you vote for Nintendo.  I believe both of you "brand dead" users would vote for XB1, wouldn't you?  If that doesn't open your eyes, then I dont know what will.

XB1 outsold Wii U handily in the year to date.  What's braindead is to look at only 2 months of estimated sales Wii U slightly beating XB1 by so little, and to ignore the future potential of both consoles.

Wii U's small gain since MK8 is not enough to erase XB1's gains for the year.  Since MK8 releae, Wii U has outsold XB1 by ~122k.  That's actually lower than the Titanfall bump earlier in the year.

Plus I don't think it takes much to erase 122k going forward.  Destiny might do it alone, if not then I'm pretty sure Sunset Overdrive will, and COD:AW + Halo Master Chief will be bonus.

I still believe XBO will get second place.

I did see your numbers, but I am not convinced...per se. First, I am looking globally. I see Europe very different than you. The honeymoon is over for Xbox. Europe is not likely to have quite the bump for Halo that we see in America so really not much is going to change it's fortune over there. PS4 is likely not going to relenquish it's domination by that I mean in terms of multiplats. The Wii U will likely see it's sales soldier on modestly on it's 1st party and exclusive offers during it's lifetime there. It will become the 'second system' of choice. The gap between Xbox One and Wii U from vgchartz most recent number is 7.5k with Wii U and 40k with PS4 that is coming off the price drop from losing the kinect even! Wii U will continue to soldier on with it's 7.5 to 15k sales in Japan while the Xbox one will be lucky to see 1k a week with the occasional slight bump. That is quite an equalizer with the American market being the XBO's only stronghold and I say that loosely because PS4 is not likely going to lose it's iron grip on North America. I mean the Wii U is only tracking 13k less than XBO in America even after losing the Kinect and the Wii U on the strength of a game that came out in May! NOW HAVING SAID ALL THAT, I still think Xbox One will find a way to eventually take second. Right now it would appear like I said XBox to Gamecube type sales and difference, but the lack of games foe Wii U could truly add up over time. If 3rd parties truly continue to shun the Wii U it could hurt them in the long run regardless the strength of Nintendo's 1st party offerings. If the Xbox can continue to match PS4 for multiplats I do believe in the long run that will be the reason XBO eventually takes the 2nd spot. The question becomes by how much. If the Wii U continues to keep it's lead over XBO, perhaps more Japanese releases might see the light of day here and perhaps even games specifically for the Wii U might start to be released by Ubisoft, Activision, and EA again just with modest budgets. Who knows. But like I said in my initial post, I do believe XBO will likely overtake the Wii U. I am a Nintendo diehard and I have very sentimental reasons for it. The irony here is, I intend to buy an Xbox One before I buy the PS4 - lol. My oldest son is a Forza nut!! Understand, i love videogames and all systems offer wonderful experiences...however, they all pale next to the partriach, the last true game company...Nintendo.

I beg of you please, use this key:

Lol...I love it! I will try to create more breaks to my narrative!

Point taken. Succint little morsels got it - lol.

Thank you;)

So you are basically stating that it is impossible for Nintendo to turn their console into a success?  As you have just stated, the last two months, Nintendo has turned it around by beating XB1 in sales.  Who is to say that Nintendo cannot continue this momentum going forward?   Didn't XB1 also release the kinectless version on June 9th, which was two months ago?

Whether it is VGC's margin of error or not, it still has to sell 1.8 million units just to pass Nintendo for second place.  Or is the 1.8 million also in VGC's margin of error and we can totally neglect that as well?

To call people brain dead for choosing the current console that is succeeding as a second place finisher is childish.

I believe you called me braindead first but whatever.

Wii U has the lead from having a 1 year earlier release, but I'm not going to just look at where we are now and predict that is where we will finish.

Wii U had a 4 million lead before XB1 launched, now it's 1.8 million.  XB1 advanced with Titanfall, Wii U advanced more with MK8.  Both have highs & lows this year, and the net result is still that XB1 caught up 0.5M year-to-date.

Looking forward, I'll be looking at what titles the two systems have for further boosts.  I don't believe in endless momentum, I think future games will determine the trajectory.  I don't "want" XB1 to beat Wii U, I just think that it will.

---

The margin is small, and XB1 is going to launch in more countries soon.
Also VGC has Wii U selling a lot more than XB1 in Europe, but what do you make of these current Amazon UK ranks?

#76 XB1 + Titanfall
#89 XB1 + Kinect
#117 XB1 + FIFA15
#119 XB1 + Sunset Overdrive
#159 WiiU + MK8
#195 XB1 Standard
... next Wii U & XB1 SKUs are ranked > #1000 which means tiny sales.

XB1 has 4 SKUs above Wii U, so I think XB1 is selling & pre-selling over 4 times what Wii U is on Amazon UK, and UK is the biggest market in Europe.

Other countries like France & Germany have Wii U & XB1 much closer ranked.  Spain has both selling crap, it's Sony land.

I think you finally got it.  To call people Sony or Nintendo fanboys just because the poll was not what you expected is ignorant.  Could it be that they thought future games on Nintendo will propel them to second place?  Or perhaps XB1's initial momentum has slowed down and Nintendo is starting to catch its stride (based on the last two months).  Maybe those possibilities crossed their minds when they voted...or maybe they didn't.

Although you didn't actually say that these people were "brain dead", you did however reply to that post.  In my mind, I find that you were agreeing with him since you replied by saying that only a fanboy or rival to XB1 would vote for the Wii U....hence "brain dead".

Maybe next time you might actually post something more meaningful and be less close-minded.

Sorry but I find it irrational to think Wii U will beat XB1 in the long run, that's why I think people voted based on party lines.  I could be wrong ofcourse, but that's what I think.

I should make a poll: "Did you vote against your console of preference?" and see if I'm right.

Edit: How biased are you? Be honest!

your wii u end of 2015 numbers are more in line with wii u end of 2014 numbers.

You really think the Wii U is going to be at 13.5 million by the end of 2014? You really think it's going to sell 6.5 million units between now and year's end when it hasn't even hit 6 million yet?

Wii U is actually almost at 7 million. But I agree. Wii U won't get to 13.5 million It will hit 11 million tops

second place will be for xbox one.

WII U not has more than 2 years of life with that horrible hardware.

no third party games and only the same games year by year.

i think at the end of 2015 wii u will die.
