Both look great but it is a strange comparison since one displays rain without sun, and one displays rain with sunlight. I kind off prefer the dirtier, grittier style of Driveclub graphically, but FH2 beats it hands down thanks to its open, world style.

This makes zero sense, why didnt you have issue with this in the ryse versus infamous debate. At the end of the day one looks a LOT betetr then the other, doesn;t matter how the design is at the end of the day and being open world style I find boring, it does not make a game automatically better.

You do know that Ryse is an action game, Forza is a racing game and that is two entirely different genres, right?

Being open would does not automatically make a game better, you are right about that. But I like FH and its open world approach. I live NFS MW even more because of its style. It´s all a matter of opinion you know.

Btw, going by your logic, do you feel Infamous is a boring game?

If rain physics made things fun I would just drive while it's raining.

Anyway, I usually don't like pure racing games, which is why I'm unsure of Driveclub. I like the open world of games like NFS MW/Carbon. I'll try out Driveclub (getting part of it for free, so why not), but not sure if I'll actually buy it. Forza looks more interesting, but I'm also skeptical on what there'll be to do in the opne world. If it's just races, I'll pass. If it's like Burnout Paradise, I'm in.

I have been seeing a lot more of these "open world" racing games comments pop up of late. Personally I think its just a cop out. Or maybe its cause i prefer the traditional idea of a racing game and never really liked open world racers except burn out paradies, which when you think of it, once the racing started was not really open world anymore.

I am want to start a racing game, pick a race and race. Don't see the point in driving around to get to a race and driving around after the race. Its like open world racing games replaces the speed of  menu with having you drive from menu option to menu option. At least thats how i see it. Don't see what the technical benefit of a racing game being open world is.

Having said that, I think both games look good.

That's moronic and spin...DC is in another league then Fh2, it's not even close, Fh2 will be jaggied as well.  DC is beautifull, Fh2 looks like a cross gen title.

Just give up, FlamingWeazel!

Well, everyone has different preferences. After playing the open-world NFS games (Most Wanted, Carbon) I realized just how much I loved the genre. Never got into closed racing games like Shift, Gran Turismo, or traditional Forza. We'll see though, Driveclub might end up blowing me away.

Yes its very big diference, miles better on driveclub those water effect but how about the fun factor? how should people know one is better than the other if probably no one played driveclub ?

I played both and saw reactions at Gamescom. Most people played one race at GC when I was there, the driving felt quite strange for many. The game itself feels strange, at least to a bit. The AI is quite aggressive but also rubberband. You are not allowed to leave the track, if you are ever able to because it is really narrow.

Horizon 2 instead people seemed to like more, spent many rounds although it was always the same race.

To me it's a no brainer FH2 will be the game most will have more fun which doesn't mean DC will flop or won't be fun, just not as much. Though I guess many will prefer it because of graphics.

DriveClub looks so boring. I think i preffer FH2.

thats the worst comparison video ever. that horizon 2 footage is so fucked up

It looks better on this one but the difference is still as huge. Weird because in the race, the game is not open world anymore. This studio doesnt seem talented about visuals, maybe next Forza 6 by the other studio will do better.

Play the first Horizon, Playground Studios is very talented when it comes to visuals that game had one of the best day night cyles of any game last generation.

I agree but I think #Driveclub will be a lot more fun when I play it with some friends.

Also every video I have seen of someone playing #DC looks rubbish, let somebody who can actually play a racing game play.

Horizon 2 will be more fun online especially the infected mode.

There is no rubber banding AI in DC. I've watched all the Gamescom vids of Driveclub and in all of them a faster car beat the slower car on the straight!

Also Driveclub will have sleet and snow weather as well as rain. Yes! Graphically it's better but both games look very good and play good from what I've seen and read. I'll be buying both!
