remake - old game built from ground up

everything else is a remaster.

its really that easy I dont see the problem..

It's a cash grab just like TLOU, which was also fine except Nintendo fans didn;t like TLOU cause reasons.

Around the Network

it's a remaster.

Metroid: Zero Mission is an example of a full-on remake.

While it is a Remaster, all Remasters aren't equal so just because two games are both technically remasters, doesn't mean they really fit into the same category...

Isn't it a remake?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Legend_of_Zelda:_The_Wind_Waker_HD

"Developed by Nintendo EAD, it is a remake[4][7][8] of the 2003 Nintendo GameCube game The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker."

You should quote Nintendo instead. They say it's a remaster.

I think what they ment by that is that they redid the visuals like brightened up the colors, added better lighting and etc... I mean, just calling the graphics "remastered" doesn't make the game a remaster

But alright, if you want me to quote Nintendo... Here is an interview where the Iwata and the developers are calling it a remake

Happy?

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

remaster.

nintendo fan here.

Remaster. It has all the original content and gameplay with minor tweaks and several engine/graphical enhancements. Just like numerous remasters on other systems e.g Zone of Enders for PS3 or TLOU for PS4.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

In that same interview, Aonuma also says you can believe it's also a completely new entry in the series. So, full sequel then?

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Yes. Other examples are: Abe's Oddysey, Metal Gear and Resident Evil GameCube versions. True remakes, this was just a remaster.

I forgot RE remakes. WW HD is probably the biggest improvement of all remasters, but its stll a remaster.

Oh btw, see Nintendo fans arent all bad :P (referring to your first comment in the thread)

lol you shame me, you terrible man

Although in my defence i never meant someone like you. Yes, you're sometimes too enthousiastic, but that's not a bad trait and you still retain your senses. The ones i was refering to know who they are!

Like a guy named Bubblegamer???? <(^o^<)

I get you though

a deliciously sinister question filled with subtle undertones.  kitler approves!

It's a remaster with certain remade elements.
