so ms shows indies, multiplats with exclusive deals and already known big exclusives = don´t take gamescon serious
sony does the same + bragging about sale numbers = great show

I wasn't able to watch it all, but the summary I saw basically had:

Sunset Overdrive
Quantum Break
Forza Horizon 2
Halo Master Chief Collection
Halo 5 Guardians Beta
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Screamride

Only TR exclusivity & Screamride were news here.  Ofcourse, I want to watch it myself to confirm if the show was really so empty of news.

I really doubt Sony's was a poor showing. They had a ton of games, alot of new ip's, console exclusives and exciting partnerships. The emphasis on what they brought to gamescom was some way or another New, New, New, I say with the exception of destiny and Far cry 4. Any other current projects were kept short such as quick trailers at the beginning for lbp 3 and order 1886.

Compared to Microsoft who brought Fifa dlc which we already know about from last year fifa.
Call of duty which we've already seen single player gameplay &multiplayer.
Halo, which is exciting but we really didnt see or learn anything new about that.
Tomb raider exclusive which isn't really a benefit for the xbox gamers Since it is already coming to xbox, its more of a negative to sony fans vs a positive to xbox fans.
The only standout points were some cool looking indies and for some, Quantum Break gameplay.

Gamescom should be about showing off the future, the new games. Microsoft harpered too long on stuff we know is coming to xbox, at least most of sony's announcement was about something new to PS4 such as DayZ, WiLD, Hellblade etc.

I didnt catch most of the MS conference but both conferences left me with a "thats it?." I didnt know this was the reveal for Day Z, I clearly remember it being announced, but may have been thinking of H1Z1. Wild and Hellblade are indys and arent that big of a deal expecially due to me not trusting indys and their ability to look bigger/better than they are. PT was by far the best thing about the show(honorable mention to the temporary Tomb Raider internet meltdown) but what Sony showed, ("real reactions") was awful and cheezy. This was being built up by Sony forums as a big showing and it was more of an E3 recap show(for all parties, though I dont know what happened with EA). If this wasnt jam packed with month old news I obviously would be singing a different tune. Cautiously looking forward to TGS(where is Deep Down?)

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

No Man's Sky
WiLD
Driveclub
Bloodborne (maybe)

Not to mention the rest of the games already released and the future multiplatforms... it's gonna be quite a 2015 for me.

If you look I said 'most of sony's announcement was about something new to PS4' and DayZ is new to PS4.

WiLD is being made by the creator of Raman and beyond good and Evil, two proven, non-indie games/franchises. WiLD is being published by Sony, so that aint indie.
HellBlade is a spiritual sequel to Heavenly sword, from the company who made DMC, Heavenly sword & Enslaved. That game is not a 16 bit game, its a full on AAA game.

Also, sony did recap their first party titles, but in like 1 minute trailers right at the beginning. They spent a little long on Far Cry. Apart from those & Destiny, pretty much everything is a new ip or unannounced at sonys conference

Rise of the Tomb Raider was already an announced game. XB1 gamers didn't gain a new title; PS4 gamers were upset they lost a title.

Exactly, xbox gained an exclusive, but it doesn't benefit their fanbase (apart from bragging rights)

According to who? Or are you just saying something just to say something?

according to the writer of the article

But according to the article Sony showed everything MS showed PLUS new games and had an AMAZING sales milestone. So I guess Sony did great ecause they did everything MS did AND more. So the writer of the article did not say what you said by any means.....
