There's tons of good news. Price drop, Kinect requirement removed, bundled-in games, Games with Gold getting better, removal of Netflix/Hulu blocks via Live Gold, 3D BluRay support, Tier 2 launch window announced, Phil Spencer becoming head of Xbox division, EA Access, etc.

There's been plenty of great news.

There's been plenty of great news. 

I wouldn't really say any of that was great news. Most of them are moves of desperation, or attempts to look like parity with their main competitor. EA access is probably going to be terrible and may have horrible affects on the game industry much like XBL and the introduction of DLC had horrible affects. Only real great news out of all of that was Phil Spencer taking over. Everything else merely highlights what their competition did first and still doing better. All of it with the exception of EA access is a damn good start but none of it is great news. Especially for early adopters that bought into the idea of kinect.

Perhaps they do, but as a company what do you expect them to do?

Focus on America instead? How much money did they give EA for that FIFA bundle? I think it could have been spent better elsewhere.

I think it's just for the Holidays. PS4 Destiny bundle is US$ 450 even if it includes a US$ 400 console, a US$ 60 game and 30 days of PS+.



Bet with jetforcejiminy: PS4 will pass the Wii lifetime numbers.

So then what happens when the Holiday season is over and it's early 2015?  Do you see many XB1 consoles selling at $399 with no game included? 

I expect the system, at that time, to either get a real price cut to $349 or the bundling of some new game about to release.  Most likely, MS will just cut the price.

No its not good for gamers, its good for Xbox gamers. Not to mention Phil Harrison being appointed means nothing, its not like he comes has some magic instance buff that makes Xbox all for the gamers now.

So its not good news for gamers, just xbox gamers.
