Question is, will VGC react to this and increase their weekly numbers going forward since clearly, they've been massively off.

I think VG Chartz is undertracking the PS4 in the rest of the world. It is very available in Argentina, where I live, and all of latin america overwhelmingly favours the playstation brand.
| NewGuy said: Sony only needs to fix the PS4's sales in Japan because everywhere else it's doing fantastic. FFXV and KH3 can't come soon enough. A DQX port and DQVIII Remake PS4 exclusive would go a long way, as would a MH4 PS4 exclusive game. |
None of which will ever happen.

And even those two territories favor PS4 as well. The X1 has nothing.

true. Germany is 5.5-1 for the year, other WW marlets are liekly 10-1 if not worse.
How long until VGChartz updates the figures. It took a while the last time PS4 was significantly undertracked, I wanna see that big number sitting pretty front page
Well, nobody will laugh at me now because of my predictions, huh??, My 16-18mill prediction for the end of the year now seems to be a sure thing....and almost 12 mill sold after Destiny's launch, maybe too.
To me, right now, 18 mill for the end of the year it's almost a safe bet, and even 20m is a posibility if everything goes right in the holiday season.
And respecting the competion, to reach a 2:1 ratio against your main competitor in less than a year is an impressive achievement. This is PS2 gen all over again, and people doubting PS4 will sell more than 100 mill are lying to themselves....

Lol? They do track how many they've shipped |
sony just know how many they shipped.
they know how many are sold through consumer via npd and gfk reports
and they know the fresh orders they got from the retailers.
and with that data, they calculate theire sold through customer numbers ;)
pretty accurate.
