I think a 50% marketshare is going to be very hard to pull off for anything more than a quick minute here or there.  Certainly by the end of the gen the marketshare will be closer.

It's 45,6 total now for PS4, with this year being 61,8% (I redid all the math using the 10 million figure). Looks pretty good to me. Just depends if the PS4 is a Wii or a PS2 legs wise.

I think the 2015 bet has a solid chance.  I just don't think that by the end of the generation the marketshare will stay that lopsided.

how so ? its doing 60% this year with what games... Infamous thats all and a dry spell of multis.  Indies maybe ???  Its easily domminating with nothing really fueiling it, it gonna murder them when it starts dropping big exclusives.

Its only gonna get worse the longer it goes, its been going that way since day one.  

I think that MS (and to a lesser extent Nintendo) will have enough high quality game releases to cut into the market share and bring PS4 <50% by the end of the gen.  I don't think PS4 will ever not be in first, or will ever lose a comfortable lead, but maintaining above 50% market?  Just don't see it.

I don't know it seems to already be snowballing and Nintendo has used most of its big guns up (sales wise other than smash).  I mean I already have a WiiU and am looking forward to Smash and Zelda but nothing seems to be able to inject life into it.  MS keep could get some if they get below PS4 in price but only in NA as Europe is an absolute bloodbath right now.  If PS4 gets any life in Japan it's over because Europe is looking dominant and US is looking like it'll at least be even.
