“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Mork and Mindy was actually the best thing that he ever did acting wise in my opinion. Never once did I think that he wasn't an alien.

As far as movies go, I'll go with Mrs. Doubtfire. I can't decide which scene is better, the one where he sets his boobs on fire or the scene where he nails Pierce Brosnon upside the head with an orange. Both were priceless.

To be honest though, I think that his stand up comedy was better than all of that. The guy was an oddball genius and that's coming from me, a guy that thinks that no one is funny.

Death to Smoochy

Not a particularly well known film, but well worth watching. (Although, seriously, not for a few months; it cuts a little close).

Dark gangster comedy directed by Danny DeVito, set in the world of children's entertainment and co-starring Robin Williams and Edward Norton. One of my all times faves.

Thanks for reminding me, that movie was insane and had very unique humor. It's also one of Robin Williams' most eccentric performances.

My favorites of him are still Good Morning Vietnam for comedy and Dead Poets Society for dramatic.

You're welcome.

I think it's his eccentricity in it that makes me love that film so much. It's like the wacky Robin Williams from my childhood, but with humour aimed at adult me rather than child me.

It’s very hard to choose but I’m going with Good Morning Vietnam, since it was the first movie I him in.

Yep i agree. Good Morning Vietnam was a great film. One of my favourites.

I gotta say Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji and Insomnia.

Definitely 'Awakenings'. Here's the speech he gives after his treatment of encephalitis lethargica failed to produce long term results.

Can give me some links to your favorites from his stand up comedy work?

Signature goes here!

Im going to say Insomnia because it he played something other than comedy relief.  He actually played a great villain too.

Also August Rush

Genie for me, Good Will Hunting was great too.

I'm still very fond of Toys though, because it was rediculous.

Hmm, pie.
