Wii u will be ps4 owner second console, some xb1 owners second console and nintendo fans 1st console so wii u should be second

Price drop means absolutely nothing if there is no games. The price drop will feel it's effect come the Fall and Christmas time.

People didnt need a secondary console during the PS2 era and they probably wont now.

The Wii U isnt vastly different like the Wii was, nor is it as cheap. It could become a popular secondary console but that may only be the case for hardcore gamers (People like us on these forums)...Not sure if the masses needed to secure sales in excess of 20m care enough to buy a system only to play 3 games (Mario, Smash and Zelda). Dont get me wrong, those 3 games will help the Wii U sales a lot, not sure if enough to beat the xbox.

Very good point, may be last gen was a one of with the whole second console thing. If ninento lower the price of wii u to £199 this this may become an option. As for xb1 its just not getting any traction and i cant see that changing, ps4 has to much momentum now. 

Not a race in my opinion and I think it's sad that people always feel like it is. You could selling more consoles and be losing the most money. Nintendo didn't sell half as good as Xbox did in it's first year and it's not over yet, but Microsoft is losing over $400 million while Nintendo's losses are dropping and are under $100 million and could very much keep dropping the way they are going. Might be rich, but still need to be making cash if they wanna stay in the business for a very long time.
