This is easier than the other thread.

2nd Gen: Philips G7000 (Magnavox Odyssey2) (Played Atari 2600 and G7000)
3rd Gen: Nintendo NES (Only played NES)
4th Gen: Nintendo SNES (Played SNES and Mega Drive/Genesis)
5th Gen: Nintendo 64 (Played N64 and PS1, though PS1 as my #2 favorite of all time would beat anything else in the other gens)
6th Gen: SEGA Dreamcast (Played DC, GameCube and XBox; on average most fun on Dreamcast)
7th Gen: Nintendo Wii (Close call with PS3, the only other I played (excluding 30 minutes of 360) and practically a tie, yet Wii has a couple more games I consider 'true classics')

3th NES
4th SNES
5th N64 Had 3 of my top five games of all time.
6th PS2 I was almost a 100% PC gamer this gen but ps2 had the thunder here.
7th DS is the best console of all time with the best library.
8th So far the 3ds (If it counts as 8th gen. Seems like more of an in-between console to me) It's to early to judge the other consoles but Wii U is the one that currently, and in the near future, has the games I'm interested in.

Don't get me wrong, the Wii had many awesome 1st party games ( Mario Galaxy, Super Paper Mario, Metroid Prime 3 to name a few), but it also had many 1st party disappointments and way too many shovelware games!

3th: NES Loved the Master System... Loved the NES more.
4th: SNES Loved the Megadrive... loved the SNES more.
5th: N64 Had 3 of my top five games of all time and is my second favourite console of all time.

Yes, I have played all of those systems because I am very, very old.
