To be fair, the stars aligned with Shinovi's release. By the time of the release, the anime just aired and the vita had a price cut.

I don't think SK2 will do better than shinovi, altough I do think it will do good numbers. Either way, I don't mind if they decide to make Shinovi a Vita's exclusive and the "main" SK 3ds's exclusive
