I'm getting the sense that this is going to be kind of like a 3D version of Toki Tori.

I'm more interested in these "surprises" for Bayonetta 1. I expect next month we'll get a Bayonetta Direct just before its Japanese release, like we just did with Hyrule Warriors.

As for Captain Toad, I just hope it has more than thirty levels.

It's this part of the same interview that interests me:

"And, of course, Bayonetta 2 is this visually stimulating, over the top action game, with a really strong female protagonist. Which, in case you haven’t noticed, is kind of a theme for us; the more recent prominence of female characters. Having female characters playing a role that we haven’t seen often in the past, outside of Samus. And that leads us right back to Hyrule Warriors, seeing Zelda kick some serious ass is pretty impressive. It’s not something that we’ve necessarily seen before from Nintendo. Female Nintendo protagonists are finally stepping into the forefront in their role in the game. Whether it’s all the female heroes in Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta, the female characters in Super Smash Bros, or Samus in Metroid. Even Splatoon!"

This isn't the first time Nintendo has hinted at a Metroid game for the WiiU.. I just wonder when the hell are they going to announce it! :-/

This game won't be a huge hit, it's too slow and kinda boring looking. While the $40 price is nice compared to the horrible $60, the content they've shown so far doesn't feel like it's a $40 game.. probably more along the lines of $15 at most.

Also, worth noting this game has been spotted at Walmart and Kmart for pre-order at $40, so even if its a retail game, it is not the standard price.

Personally I think this game at $30 hits the sweet spot, but anyway at least its not $60
