if it was a remake i feel like they'd use the word remake.   perhaps i'm just being hopeful but i get the feeling it is a movie tie-in game so it will have similarities with the original game but also have significant changes so that it follows whatever story/worlds they are doing for the movie.

..so like, half new.  or maybe same game assets but different world layouts.  i dunno,.. i just figure that if they avoided the terms remaster, remake, and reboot than the game probably doesn't quite fit those definitions.

Well MSFT did something similar with Phantom Dust.  Some of the devs were calling it a sequel, some were calling it a reboot, and some were calling it a remake lol It actually turned out to be a little bit of all three with lots of new stuff, but still a remake, and reboot haha  So you could be right about R&C being a little bit of both new and old.  Id be up for that personally.

I agree that they should continue the franchise.  Crack in Time was in my opinion along with Kameo the best 3D platformers of last generation. I havent played Into the Nexus yet but id love them to continue R&C as long as they get away from stuff like All 4 One and go back to its core.

the original wording was...

So it’s with great pride I get to announce that Insomniac will continue our involvement with the Ratchet & Clank movie while developing a game that re-imagines the original Ratchet & Clank for PS4.

...whatever that means.

Could mean they are doing a complete remake similar to how Microsoft does their remakes, like Fable Anniversary and Halo Anniversary for example.  That would be great if they did that with R&C :)

Must be something like that, I think Gooch asked Insomniac on facebook if they would consider remastering Ratchet and Clank Future and that was their answer.

Wii U:
Zelda U
The art style is gorgeous (Was never a fan of the realistic Twilight Princess look always put me to sleep) and the fact that the game will very expansive is peeking my curiosity for the game more and more and making me wish E3 2015 was here already!
Xenoblade Chronicles X
I am enjoying Xenoblade and I can't wait to see another massive open world game on the Wii U like Xenoblade.
Yarn Yoshi
It looks like the game I would play after a long day and want to relax, perfect for when I am done with my classes or work.
Splatoon
Probably the game I am the most hyped for, I can't wait to play this game, the art style looks cool and the play style leaves a lot of room open for strategy, I already have my team picked for the game, and I hope we see a lot of competitive tournaments come out from this.
Star Fox
If it comes out this year I really want to see how Miyamoto and the third party developer they get will make this game turn out.

3DS:

Dai Gyakuten Saiban

I just want to see how Takumi will take the Ace Attorney series with this spin off since he is no longer working on the main Phoenix Wright line.

"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.

What's bad for some probably isn't as bad for me.

Also I'm not sure if you're interested, but the Sly Collection I heard is a pretty good port (Sanzaru) ported it. I have it on Vita too, but haven't played it yet.

Yeah im with you on that one lol  People will tell e about frame rate  dips and pixel differences all the time but i dont really notice unless there is big stutters in FPS.  FPS is noticeable but as long as it isnt horrible id be ok with it.

Nah not really a fan of Sly.  Jak and R&C def, just never got into Sly.  Right now im on an Oddworld kick. Just bought Strangers wrath and now  Hoping they remake Exoddus xD

Bloodborne (PS4), SMTxFE (WiiU, if it comes 2015), Persona 5 (PS3), Splatoon (WiiU), Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (3DS - at least in the west), Xenoblade Chronicles X (WiiU)

Not much of interest on the PS4, the exclusives outside of Bloodbourne are lacking in either interest, imagination, or relevance to me. X1 has more things I'm interested in coming on the tail end of 2014 than in 2015 but whatever.

PS4: Bloodbourne

XB1: Scalebound (Platinum Games, duh), Halo 5

WiiU: X, Zelda U, Splatoon, Star Fox U, SMTxFE

Uncharted 4 and The Order 1886.
Nothing for other consoles because I don't own them.

EDIT: Until Dawn sounds promising, hopefully it will be a decent horror game.

I'm a WiiU only owner atm so mainly WiiU games:

Zelda U
Xenoblade X
Splatoon
Devil's Third
Uncharted 4
Halo 5

For the posts I've seen I'm alone with Devil's Third huh? No worries, I'm just hyped cuz of multiplayer which I hope delivers...

Zelda
Splatoon
Xenoblade

Battlefront(though the EA thing is a turn off)
Crackdown(If my friends have their X'1s by then, singleplayer is boring)

Bloodborne

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
