There wont be another portable playstation console because of the Vita's dreadful performance. PSP was nice, but it has failed so bad and it's financially not worth them making a new handheld. 

Nintendo on the other hand, they can make a handheld as powerful as the Vita, release Pokemon on it and sell ass tons. Thus continues the Nintendo handheld domination

I want them to go back to the GBA design but with a HD touchscreen and stuff

Just kidding. Honestly I don't care what they do with the next handheld, as long as they keep making great games..I'll keep buying!

i actually like the clam shell design...

i would it would be similar to 3ds xl... but the whole top will be the whole screen... they can put the speaker somewhere else... and yes better speaker...

an OLED 1080p screen wouldnt hurt but the price...

slimmer 3ds xl with better screen and sound.... the buttons will be the same but interchangeable like we saw before... please be clam shell again...

i actually like the 3d.

Ordered in terms of importance.

1. Games, of course
2. A real Nintendo Network, with achievements and such (a good app store wouldn't go amiss either)
3. GODLIKE battery life (like the original Game Boy)
4. Durability (Good build quality with a nice screen(s), possibly gorilla glass)
5. Dual analog, bumpers, triggers, that good stuff
6. 3G at no extra cost
7. Significant leap over the PSVita and on-par with mid-high end smartphones (None of this antiquated 'lateral thinking with withered technology' crap)

Better battery life is my #1.

Dual analog would be useful also.

Although I like the 3D effect, I can live without it.

Keep the clamshell design and dual screens, and backward compatibility.

I don't want anything from the next Nintendo Handheld. I give up on mobile gaming altogether. DS/3DS sucked, there probably wont be a vita successor, phone/tablet games are trash.

I would like a form factor of the original GBA. Though this form factor was copied by Sony and continually improved, I still think it's the best form factor for a console. GBA is the most comfortable handheld I've ever had the pleasure of using.
