No. It merely adds to the growing list of exclusives that gives PS4 several points of difference for new gen console purchasing.

You could have bundled Wii U with a dog turd but that wouldn't have made me buy one for it.

TLOU cannot be a definitive reason, when there are numerous other reasons people pick up PS4. It is an added bonus for sure.

Why does everyone talk like X1 has a ton of exclusives? Regardless, it is not important for Sony to differentiate themselves from Xbox because they are comfortably in the lead. For most people, PS4 is THE next gen console, and it is MS that need a tipping point, not Sony.

No single game really has enough swaying power to be "definitive" beyond small groups of people (at least on home consoles), but it's certainly a big selling point to anyone that previously didn't own a PS3.

the tipping point for me was E3 2013. MS revealed their true selves to us then. If it were not for Sony and going the direction they did with the PS4 we would be living with an online only XB1 with no more used games and having Kinect shoved down our throats.

If MS is ever in a place of strength again I expect them to pull the SAME BS.



End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

To be honest I was holding out for this bundle a few months before it was announced but when it was finally unveiled I was dissappointed. I was hoping for a gold console, not somply some decals on the game pad.

So instead I got a black Wii U on sale.
