Their defense just got clinically dissected. Fingers crossed the LesserBerger keeps it interesting!

Ah, is it already time for Big Ben to exaggerate his pain so he can prove to us how tough and manly he is?

Welp, I gotta tip my hat to TEN for putting up a great fight. Everyone expected PIT to dominate this, but it was quite the great MNF showdown!

Lol 12th place. Could be worse.

Started 2-7. Got the last 5 correct though.

You know, I'm having a hard time taking the "you should actually watch some games" seriously from the guy who can't even break .500 on predicting games.

Regardless, Green Bay has put 50+ points on both Chicago and Philly, subpar defenses at best. Their average PPG is in the low 30s, making the Dolphins feat by no means that impressive.

Kansas City scored 5 offensive touchdowns on Miami. 3 were passes from Alex Smith, and then a rushing touchdown apiece from Davis and Gray. So yeah, no idea where you're getting that special teams score from.

Most of all, though, the Dolphins haven't really impressed me against any good offenses. San Diego has become garbage as of late, Detroit's offense is generally mediocre, and neither Chicago, Jacksonville, or Buffalo is anything to write home about. If the Dolphins can keep Denver's offense at the level that they've been doing for the aforementioned mediocre-bad teams this week, then I'll start to take notice.

And geez, if you're going to argue "they've improved since the start of the season," then just take a look at New England. Averaging over 40 points per game over their last 6, holding Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck led offenses to 21 and 20 points respectively, and now a running game that seemingly came from nowhere to boot. The Patriots haven't lost in New England since 2012, and the Dolphins haven't won on the road against a Brady led team since 2005.

Again, none of this is to say that the Patriots are going to run the Dolphins out of the building; it'll be a good game. But if you're seriously going to suggest that Miami is the favorite to walk into New England and dominate, then yeah...you may want to do a bit of that game watching. Specifically anything that isn't Dolphins highlight reels on youtube.

I do watch every Miami game. And K.C. scores were due once again to special teams blunders. Sorry once again you didnt watch anything check the box score. Also during that K.C. game we were missing huge pieces defense. But like USUAL Pats get all the excuses. So what was N.E. excuse from getting whooped worse by the same team? Im all ears. Patriots get ALL the excuses my team sucks. And knowing from your comments you get all your ammo from NFL Network. Good job

And just to let you know i missed a full week the week where i got 9 right in my other pick'ems pull

That isn't at all what you said. You said "special teams scores" not "special teams blunders leading to scores."

Regardless, of course I don't watch Miami games. I'm a Patriots' fan. And I don't even have cable, let alone NFL Network. Anyway, like I've emphasized over and over, my point isn't to say the Dolphins suck. My point isn't even to say Miami's a bad team. My point is that you're entirely too high on the Dolphins for marginally improving when New England has done that and more.

Miami's defense may have improved. New England's passing game, rushing game, pass defense, and rush defense have all improved significantly. That's why they've absolutely destroyed the 3 other division leaders in the AFC over the past six weeks after getting run out of the building in KC. Miami hasn't done anything that's close to being that impressive. Your best win since week 1 is the 6-4 Chargers who couldn't muster less than 20 points against Oakland.

I don't have any excuse for getting blown out by KC; NE played straight up terrible there and deserved to lose. I will say, though, that they haven't loss since, playing against a six game stretch that included three good teams, one mediocre team, and two bad teams. Miami, meanwhile, since starting 2-2, has gone 4-2, with one or possibly two good teams (depending on how good Detroit really is, I'm a little less than convinced of their status at this point but 7-3 is 7-3), two or three mediocre teams, and two terrible teams.

So yeah; SoS over that time span is tougher for NE, and yet not only do the Patriots have a better record by two games through that stretch, they've also only been seriously challenged in one of those games. Is Miami a good team? Definitely, and I expect them to give NE a run for their money. Do I think New England is going to get dominated by a team with a generally inept offense in their own building, where they haven't lost since 2012 and where Miami hasn't won against Brady since 2005? Call me a biased fan, but I'll be picking against that.

Since you're so sure, however, why not make a friendly bet? If the Dolphins beat the Patriots by double digits again (seems like a fair interpretation of the word "domination") you can have sig control for a month. If not, then I get sig control for a month.

Am I really picking the Saints again

I must be crazy

That all looks pretty fair to me.

I do have to say though, I think Denver is now pretty banged up, and KC is getting hotter once more, so that could flip on us. I don't doubt that PM is a wizard, but he's been awfully human lately. I think his tendency to throw ducks is sometimes hurting that team. Imagine how scary PM would be with cannon power.

As I see it, Denver has dominated their wins normally by the pick-your-poison high output offense, and the ground and passing games have complimented each other by forcing defenses to not stack the box. Now that there are a host of injuries along with PM not playing at as high a level, they're suddenly looking vulnerable. I do still think they can get it back together and become a powerhouse again, but I'm not fully confident they'll do it in time. It has to be said that STL is truly not as bad as their record indicates though, many of their Ls were gutsy back and forths with solid opponents.

I am happy with those results.
