Someone said $5 for 4 games for 1 month vs $5 for 1 game for 4 hours. I think EA wins that battle.

Do you get those 4 games or 10% discount on them?

You get the games. Its only 4 for now. The discount is for their new digital games and DLC. Seems like a way to give the finger to Gamestop which is awesome.

I dont see this as good at all.

Who plays FIFA 14 when FIFA 15 comes out? All the games seem very online focused, so its 60$ for XBL and 30$ for EA Access a year...

You do know that these services are not comparable at all. They are aimed at different services and different target markets.

Nobody is denying that this here is a great deal, but there is no need to unnecessarily flame people.

In both cases, interested customers win.

so exactly what ps+ started delivering years ago but with only 5% of the content for 60% of the cost.

i'll bet if i did a join on people reactions to this rental subscription service to that of ps+ the result would be major lulz.

Quit thinking short term. They are going to add in content over time, which it turn will up the value. Not to mention early access to games and discounts on DLC. It's kind of hard to put a negative spin on what is clearly a positive thing. But ... well ... I guess you succeeded. Congrats!

Exactly. I can see absolutely no angle to how this can be taken as bad news. An excellent deal for the gamers, and a steady subscription stream for EA. If I had an XBox One, I'd subscribe immediately.

Well you have to buy 4 pieces of DLC(if the DLC is 15$ a piece) and 4 full EA games a year to reach 30$...

50 posts in a topic about EA making more money and not one EA = Hitler equation.

What is this? A gaming forum or an EA cuddle fest?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

EA still in bed with MS? Even after they put all their eggs in one basket in terms of Azure (in terms of competing against the secondhand market), thinking XBone was going to completely demolish the PS4 and making Titanfall exlcusive to Microsoft....and all of that failing in one way or another, they still make an XBone exclusive service?

Either EA and MS are just the best friends ever, or MS paid them a good sum of money. Speculation, sure, and it doesn't really matter at the end of the day, since it's making XBone more attractive...but I don't see any other legitimate reason, business-wise, why they would do this.

And I'm going to assume that this will require a Live sub as well right? So $90. They'll obviously add more content and combine that with the discounts, it'll start paying for itself. Despite the steep initial cost, it's still a great deal.

Thing is, if I've learned anything from these forums, "paying for itself", as in, if you bought those games separately, you will have already spent $30+ on 1 or 2 games, and you get a whole year of games; and "renting" games, in general, don't matter to Xbox gamers. We'll see how this plays out.

Hmm this might not be a bad deal. Of course I already own BF4 so I'll wait until they add more games into the vault.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

So you won't be subscribing to the service?
