Of course they are incredibly well loved by the general gamer........ Sports franchises are bigger games than any exclusive on Playstation or Xbox.......... |
Why do you even bother?

They might sell more, but they are not bought by the general gamer. Fifa does well in europe because soccer is popular here and Madden does well in the US because people love football there. A person who buys 4 EA sports games a year, probably dont care about Dragon Age or Mass Effect. Some do ofcourse, but not many.
If you make a thread about the genres gamers dont like, then sports games are always at the top of the list.

This is actually even better, because it shows Sony what a proper pricing model for PS Now should look like.
OP - Not a bad concept, hopefully it presents a value that XBO owners are into. Fo sho.
meh there are only 1 or 2 EA games I want. so i will just buy them, i dont need another sub. i can see if your big into madden then it might work out for you and thats cool, i have no problems with peeps enjoying video games.
In fact lets look at just the Playstation 4 sales as of now.
Fifa 14 - 2.29 Million - EA
Battlefield - 1.87 - EA
Killzone - 1.81
2 of the top 5 best selling games on PS4 globally are EA titles, only 1 is a Sony exclusive and it has been outsold by both of the EA titles in the top 5.
How someone can argue that this isn't a good deal for people that play EA games is beyond me. This sort of service threatens my very job, and yet I can see its value.

Yeah, on a gaming website/forum filled with hardcore gamer's, absolutely. In the real world (which this forum is not), Sports games are wildly popular.

Are you implying people on the internet are representative of the general gamer......
I have some really bad news for you

I dont see this as good at all. Who plays FIFA 14 when FIFA 15 comes out? All the games seem very online focused, so its 60$ for XBL and 30$ for EA Access a year... |
You sound very bitter right now.
1. Plenty of people still play older sports games when the new one comes out.
2. You have to be stupid to actually pay $60 for Live with all the deals throughout the year.
3. It doesn't say anywhere that you need Live. And you can play these games single player with no problem.
