Quit thinking short term. They are going to add in content over time, which it turn will up the value. Not to mention early access to games and discounts on DLC. It's kind of hard to put a negative spin on what is clearly a positive thing. But ... well ... I guess you succeeded. Congrats!

Exactly. I can see absolutely no angle to how this can be taken as bad news. An excellent deal for the gamers, and a steady subscription stream for EA. If I had an XBox One, I'd subscribe immediately.
