Devil's Third won't sell, Bayonetta will sell 500.000 - 750.000 top

Well Bayo was a mild hit at ~2mil sold, and it developed a loyal cult following. I don't think it's unrealistic to expect 1mil for the sequel, especially when it's bundled with the definitive version of the original, including the new costumes/mods, for free.

Not a question of cult following. It was a multi-platform release on consoles that both had a 40 millions users base.

The Wii U only has  7 millions user base (by the time Bayonetta 2 is released) if you calculate the proportion of people who buy games according to its appeal compared to installed user base, it's really improbable that will reach 1 million (although that's possible since not many game are available on next-gen as of now, but knowing the Wii U audience, it won't happen)

the wii u audience will love the game. and the wii u userbase is much more core than the ps360 ever was.

Ubisoft seems to have really half-assed their attempt on the Wii U graphically. Why can a lower budget studio make humanoid characters that crap all over the character models in Zombi U?

Can't blame a company for still shelling out millions to take the risk. Game might seem bare bones to you, but if it sold well enough it would've had a sequel that was more fleshed out.

Userbase is only a part of the formula. How did Smash Bros Brawl not even doubling Melee's sales, despite Wii being 5x the GC's install base? Install base helps, but games have a certain degree of appeal however high or low the base is.

The bigger problem with speculating sales models for Bayonetta 2 is that Bayonetta 1 hit the bargain bin FAST, and much of those 2 million sales came at rock-bottom prices. Who, or how many, are the core Bayo fans?

The second X factor is the degree to which Nintendo pushes the game. This game is getting at least the amount of hype of their other B-games for the U, like Tropical Freeze or Pikmin 3, though neither of them made a million (and if they get there, it will be a slow limp).

That does not refute the bemused image osed used. In what galaxy could Metroid be called cartoony?

Metroid (especially Prime) cartoonish? what's your definition of kiddy desing?

Same question for Xenoblade Chronicles....

Not is it not being made by Nintendo, it wouldn't be the first time a 1st party published title ends up on another system.

Not that I'm predicting or expecting it, but this is still laughable.

It's a game made by Nintendo and totally financed by Nintendo. Nintendo hold all the rights of Bayonetta.

Not even close to your distribution deal (Ninja Gaiden) Sould Calibur 2 was also published by Nintendo on GC with Link in it. But it wasn't a Nintendo game.

Once again, you're just completely wrong. Platinum Games owns the IP and is developing the game. Nintendo is just publishing it. Publishing is more than just distribution.

You know absolutely nothing on the subject. Platinum games themselbves said that Nintendo owned the game and that it couldn't be ported on another console because Nintendo owned it.

Platinum is the developper but the game's rights are owned by Nintendo.
