I like how people still try to turn positive Wii U news to just plain news. Obviously both are not selling that well. Hell, the PS4 is arguably not selling that well compared to previous generation, buth the fact that the Wii U outsold the XB1 is positive news.

Haters were saying that the XB1 and PS4 were going to dominate the Wii U and that the Wii U will be irrelevant and that the Wii U will sell worse than the GC. The PS4 is dominating without a doubt but when a so called 'dead' console is revived and sells more than a less than a year old console, then that is great news.

LOL nothing has changed.  The Wii U's biggest release of the generation lost to the PS4 with a third party release.  That is nothing to write home about, or at least it isn't in my opinion.

or maybe ps4 is still widely marketed and gets daily releases of new games vs a console that are unoticed most of the time

What is your point?  It doesn't matter how it happened, the fact remains that the Wii U got trounced when it should have decimated its competition.

Huh? You seemed to be the one missing things here. Feb/March sales of X1 were higher becuase of TitanFall.  April/May Sales were both low.. As was Jan..  Feb/March were the only BIG months for X1 in 2014.   All other months were just around 100k. June was said to be just about 200k. So almost double. So sales were NOT the same AFTER the price drop. Which was only 3 weeks of June also. But other way.. sales DOUBLED. Doubled that of April and May. So it was not "the same as before May"... Wii U is said to have done 140k in June..  LESS then the X1.. even with being 200% more then June 2013.  And last.. the Xbox One DID NOT RECIEVE A REAL PRICECUT.  It is NOT the same system selling for LESS money. That is what a real price cut is. Several retailers had Titanfall bundle with Kinect not far behind the $399 console. Many X1 buyers still want Kinect.. and still pay $499. So again..  The X1 didn't recieve a price cut. It had something taken away. Not everyone wants that, as has been proven by GameStop and Amazon sales charts.

Super Smash Brothers can't even give a solid release date yet. Big Multi-plat games are NOT coming to the Wii U..  And the gamers that SSB entices likely bougt the Wii U for Mario Kart 8.  So there is NO big 2014 schdule of Wii U releases. Sorry. You woudlnt have headlines like "Nintendo Wii U release calender should fill Ninetendo fans with dread". Halo: MCC/Sunset Overdrive/GTA5/COD will all help X1 sales..

The X1 is not DEAD otuside the USA. Its barely released outside the North America. Still in just 13 markets until September. And I don't care what people say. MORE MARKETS MEANS MORE CONSOLES SOLD. Yes they are NOT key markets for the Xbox..   You can't compare APPLES to APPLES when its NOT the case. Yes. Xbox is not the global brands that PlayStation and Nintnedo are.. but some of the countries that X360 did sell decent in have NOT had their X1 release. The X1 will not have HUGE sales in those new markets.. but there will be SALES..

I see these types of threads everyday. No Xbox 1 is not selling the most, but it is doing well. PS4 fans will have a long wait if they think Microsoft will go down swiftly. Xbox 1 will still have respectable sales.

Hilarious how you cherry pick 1 month, ps4 june us bigger then MANy ps2 junes (You know the biggets selling console ever), and bigger then MOST 360's, the 45 million seller in the US alone.

 

Nintendo fans on this site are out of control, from flodding TLOU threads, downplaying ps4 every chance they get it's pathetic. Ps4 will outsell Wii Lifetime as it is not a gimmicky console and will have longer legs. What will your spin be then?

 

even more dumb, is you ignoring the huge launch sales that wii never had, pr ps2 and others never had, had supply been better to meet demand back then summer months would be slower. PS4 bets days are ahead of it, it's still 400 bucks, wii was cheaper as well. Once more games and a price drop comes....you get the picture. It will easily surpass the wii Liftime. Dilusional nintendo fans.

 

So PS4 is pathetic, that means PS2, 360 ps1, wii were pathetiuc as they had summer months that were lower.

 

PS4 is a sales beast, 270k, in june with zero releases is excellent, Sales will explode in Sptember again and it will keep pace above ps2, ps3, 360, and will sell better then the wii because it will have legs, unlike the crap wii.

 

3ds numbers are lower then ps4...yet you say everything except 3ds is bad?? LOL Nintendotard logic.

 

PS4 had huge supply unlike oyher consoles, if ps2 , 360 and opther consoles had the same supply there sales would go lower in summer months as demand would be more met...

 

All you doom and gloomers are out of touch, this gen has been a huge success for sony so far and that is not changing. Wait until its best years come. Huge up front sales = slower summer months, for ANY console. Wii was a fad thsat died with no legs, not even comparable.
