Forums - Gaming - Will the XB1 be able to outsell the Wii U from this point on?

Well it all depends really. Wii U was outselling Xbox One prior to September (I think that was the month) and then Xbox One started to get a shit ton of games, Wii U got Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, Smash and Captain Toad. Xbox One got a price cut. Idk.

I CAN potentially see Wii U outselling Xbox One for a little bit but if it happens it won't happen for long and it will not sell better than the Xbox One. Sadly. :(

LOL old thread is old. And I can't believe anyone honestly thought the Wii U was going to outsell the X1 after the release of MK8.

Yeah, even with MK8 and Smash the WiiU still got outsold by Xone.

Even if the Xbox One never had a price cut it was still destined to outsell the WiiU with the holiday sales alone and with more people buying the Xbox One over the WiiU(remember the $349 X1 was US only) it took second place.

Only because VGChartz was really over estimating the Wii U sales. Once actual sales numbers came out it was discovered that much of the summer Wii U ahead of the X1 on VGChartz was incorrect information.



Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Actually it wasn't over estimating them. Xbox One WAS being outsold by  Wii U for quite a bit till about September.
