Fun fact, just about every piece of music in Super Mario is derived from the same theme song, but either the tempo was increased, decreased, or the key changed (for example, the castle music was the main theme, just changed to a minor key).

I think I've heard this somewhere else before, but I still find it very cool nonetheless!

I'm playing through Galaxy 2 now and the music is extraordinary.

The original Galaxy, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, and SMB3 are amazing also.

I guess I'll go with Galaxy, but it's a tough call. Highlights are Battlerock, Spacejunk, and Gusty Garden.

Super Mario Bros. Why? Because before that game, there wasn't anything go off of. No theme, no under water music...nothing. It's so much harder to invent than to innovate.
