HAHAHAHAHA, man, the arguments on this thread are glorius:

"I don't care about your game anyway"

"You will end up crawling back like many others"

"Who cares? No Man Sky will be better"

Oh man, sawing those kind of arguments on some nintendo trheads back them was sad, but i'm happy i can now laugh about others doing the same.

But what if you actually don't care? I can get the game if I want but I don't want it. Are you laughing because I don't care?

This game got featured on PSN+ program, would you activate or just ignore because you don't care?

That's a dumb comparison. I grab all the free games on Plus even if I don't plan on playing them because they come with it. It takes a few seconds and it builds my collection.

1. Man, people are so bitter that PCs are actually relevant.
2. Whatever, this game looks very boring anyway.

PCs have always been relevant. they just aren't as releveant for certain things like consoles. They each cater to different crowds.

That makes the ships definitely sound not worth the asking price. But hey, if the PC gamer that normally buys everything during Steam Sales, wants to pay that for a ship in a beta of a game to give his rig a run for its money, then so be it.

Look, a lot of us PC gamers think Star Citizen is a waste too. Those of us who hunt bargains during the Steam sales are very much different for the VERY small minority willing to spend $300 on a ship.

Most of us who purchased the game only got the $40 or $60 package.

Hey it's all cool, I just wanted to point out the irony a bit. I have been looking at r/pcmasterrace post on reddit a little too much lately, maybe those got to me.

Haha, it's all good, just remember that most of us PC gamers aren't obnoxious "master race" folk, even if some guys are. Heck, a lot of us game on consoles too

*sigh*

1. "I have not said I want  star citizen to do badly"

-and where did I say you did?

2. "And again, if they feel... or you feel that having raised $45M so far givs them the right to do that then I am telling you that that is just not thinking big enough in the grand scheme of things...How much does it really cost to make the game and how much goes to profits?

-shows that you did, in fact, say that the hypothetical future means that their present accomplishments aren't impressive.

3. I could say the same thing about you in relation to consoles.

-once again, in your own words, you're saying that I'm against consoles.

4. And your notion of us hating each other is off. Why in the world would I hate you? I've kept thing pretty civil, and I'm not personally attacking you. What makes you think that I would hate someone because they don't seem to support one of my platforms?

Damn dude... you keep pulling me back in lol... ok then.

  1.  "Now you are saying that the $45 million isn't impressive because the game may be bad in the future and in the future they may not get enough sales."

Thats just quoting you? And hey, I bolded a part for it for you too... Yet for some twisted reason you still claim you didnt say or suggest that I was somehow claiming the game would or may be bad? And to clear that up, what I meant by $45M isn't impressive in the grand scheme of thinsg actually has nothing to do with the games quality or sales. I was saying and pls read this carefully, how much of that 45M goes to game development, how much of it will go to profit, how much more do they plan on selling (cause I would expect them to plan on selling a lot more than what 45M is equivalent to). And that for a company that has not actually released the game, going around bitch talking other potential platforms is bad business.

  2. Read what i said above, so yes... I still stand by it not being impressive by modern game and sales standards. And thus feel anyone saying they have accomplished the right to be smack talking to be deluded at best. $45M raised for them is probably equivalent to 500-700k individual sales at best cause people are giving them different amounts. I am sorry, but that to me is not impressive yet. I have however not said they may not even end up selling 5M copies or something. Just saying that till they do, they should shut up and just make the game.

  3. Conveniently quoted me but forget to mention that you actually said this first?

"Look, you've been steadfast against PC and PC development optimisation and such, so I'm not even going to argue this."

What i said here was in reply to this very thing that you said. You were the one that started off by saying I was against PCs simply cause I have a different take on PCs than you do. So, I just simply said that I could say the same thing about you.... if a difference in opinion instanly makes us completely for or against a platform, then you are just as guilty as me. And that was what that post was for.

  4. I have not said you hate me, nor did i say I hate you, i have also not said that you are not keeping it civil. your literal description of what i have said is misleading at worst. I said "we could hate eachothers guts"  for all I care "as long as we keep our discussions civil". Meaning that we don't have to agree, believe, like, be friends, respect or anything as far as we are concerned. But if we talk and keep keeping our discussions civil then its all good. And no, I don't care if you believe me or not believe. I havent got a point to prove to you or anyone here. Showing you a reciept or whatever does not change, affect or impact what I am saying or what i came here to say. That is just you trying to discredit me. And if you somehow feel that by so doing I will run to show you how wrong you are? then I think you think too highly of yourself in relation to me.

1. "In the grand scheme of things" implies including the yet-to-be-seen future, which has nothing to do with me saying that the fact that a start-up company has already reached $45 million is impressive.

2. Once again, I said that it was impressive that a start-up game dev already raised $45 million. That's the largest crowd-funded company in history, and they raise another mission or two every month.

3. Yes, I realise I said that first, because you were the one who has been arguing about PC optimisation and how companies should not listen to high-end PC users because we are "niche" on multiple threads now. I was pointing out that I wasn't going to argue with you over this because you already seem to dislike PCs a lot, but then you say that I think the same about consoles as you do about PCs, and I have no clue where you got that from. I LOVE my Wii U and PS4, and you just randomly throwing it out there was a baseless assumption.

4. Yes, I know that you didn't flat out say it, but you certainly were implying some animosity in your quote, and I was saying that I have been and will continue to be civil.

And if you feel you have no right to prove you own the game, fine. Don't say you own it then if you have no way to back it up. It would be easy to launch Star Citizen and prove you own it, but nope.  Anyone in my shoes would assume you're being untruthful if you can't prove it, and if you're fine with that, so be it.

How do you dumb down something that's already dumb?

Not sure why that would be confusing, but you do it by making it even dumber.

What this game is proving is that the "Oh so smart and money savvy PC Masterrace" can be just as dumb with their money as every other "Console Peasant" out there. I mean just look at the prices in that store.

https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/single-ship-packages

Up to $275 for a single ship?? In an unreleased game?? How can PC gamers even be proud of this whole project?

To be fair, there are also ships available at $30 with the full game, and each ship will be able to be gotten in-game through single-player.

Ok, so buying the ships lets you use them in a beta right now or how does this work?

Use in beta, plus it goes towards the money to make the game.  The whole kickstarter or whatever you call these things.  Now as said they are already at like 40+ million and way past goal.

But let me tell ask this.  If you were wanting to kickstart a game, or donate to a kickstarter game I should say, wouldn't you like to get something out of your donation?  Besides the game i mean.  If you want to donate you can donate only $20 or you can donate up to say $275.  Those who donate more get a bonus of a ship.

I won't donate a penny and will (if i buy this game) get the ship i want through in-game missions or currency or however you aqcuire them.

I just feel that they should just finally close this whole donation thing down, they got nearly $50 million dollars by now, they do not need more money for the games development, they are just needlessly cashing in more and more money from, excuse me but I can't say it any other way, idiots, without the games' release date being anywhere close.

If I want to support a developer I buy his product, not donate him money before said product is even close to being finished.
