Which ones are you talking about?
Like Oniyide says, only Rayman Legends comes close. DKCTF maybe the wrong game for the market, but I honestly believe it's the best 2D platformer in years.

And yet, two of the upcoming games on Wii U are also platformers... I think Nintendo is having a bit of a crisis at the moment. It's like they're compensating for the difficulty of HD developing by making everything a platformer. I'm surprised Zelda wasn't one. |
Yup, let's pump out platformers of all of our mascots and then racers of all of our mascots. Greeaaaat...

3DS users want everything. Hell they even wanted Mario Kart 8 on it even though it's technically incapable of what the game has to offer without major downgrades.

I have good news for you! This platform is rendered fully in 3D.
If next Retro game will be Diddi Kong Racing it will flop too...

How? That would be an adventure racing game. People LOVED the first one
I know it seems to be blasphemy to say around here but I just don't think it's that good. (It was good but I expect my DK to be great) It played things way too safe and was too similar to the Wii DK.
It was also relatively too soon after the preceding game. NSMB WiiU was guilty of the same but it got there first and had little competition at time. Also it's Mario so it can get away with that to a greater extent.
