You know looking back my favorite games of all time are extremely varied genre wise.
1. A platformer with RPG elements (Super Paper Mario)
2. 3rd person shooter (Mass Effect 2)
3. Action-adventure Platformer (Sonic Adventure 2)
4. Openworld (Red Dead Redemption)
5 Varies often. Right now it's a tie between Earthbound and Super Metroid.

Is anyone else like this or do you just prefer one genre over the other?

It's a fun game, but it has aged kinda poorly compared to other N64 titles..

I'm not sure what my Top 5 games are. I like a lot of them but have mainly only played Nintendo forever.

For now, some top series are:

Pikmin (Strategy)

Luigi's Mansion (Adventure?)

Resident Evil (Survival)

Animal Crossing (Sim)

Smash Bros (Fighting)

So, yes, I seem to be varied.

Metroid Prime (First Person Adventure)
Resident Evil 4 (Action adventure, survival horror)

So I guess I have pretty varied preferences!

And people think Nintendo is only platformers :P

I still refuse to pay cash for online gaming in PS4. So till now my PS4 is single player system. Everything might change with Uncharted 4 multiplayer.

1. Uncharted 2 (Action Adventure TPS)

2. Super Mario World (Platformer)

3. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (Sandbox Action Adventure)

4. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (Stealth)

5. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (Stealth)

6. FarCry 3 (Action Adventure FPS)

7. Resident Evil 4 (Survival/Adventure)

8. Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition (Racing)

9. WWF No Mercy (Wrestling)

10. Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando (Platformer)

So I think there's not much variety there.

#10- Quake III ( Arena FPS)

You caught me, the rest of my Top 50 is 20 Madden games and 20 FIFA games.
