Which is your favorite FF game, guys? Mine has to be FFIX because it went back to what was very great about FF.. It had lovely visuals, amazing soundtrack, great atmosphere and the battle-system worked pretty well!

OH COME ON. You change the subject from Re4 a game series I know nothing about to Final Fantasy another series I know nothing about :(

Oh boy... Start fixing that mistake by playing Final Fantasy IX!

I got too many games on my plate at the moment. Still need to beat windwaker, Mario Luigi Dream Team hard mode, and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon infinity gates.

Plus I think I'll start the series on the snes then move up.

Consoles: 3DS, Wii U, and Vita soon. Super Paper Mario fan.

I think both SNES titles are a good starting point. Final Fantasy II (IV) clocks in at about 15-20 hours so it's not as overwhelming as later titles which are in the 60 hours + range.

My favorite Mario games are the spin offs, is that just me?

For example, I think the Paper Mario series is better than any 2D or 3D Super Mario

Same with Luigi's Mansion

OK... I guess you can begin with Final Fantasy IV so that you can familiarize yourself with the franchise! Just don't play Mystic Quest!

Hell yeah. Super paper mario is awesome, along with the other paper mario's.  The Mario & Luigi Rpg's are also great. Dr. Mario is fun. Mario vs. Donkey kong is also really fun. Oh and those yoshi games are sexy beasts. I think the only spinoff I don't like is Mario sports games, and Mario is missing/Mario time machine.

They sure are good games but never better than the top entries in both the 2D and 3D platformers.

Super Paper Mario is probably my 3rd favorite in the series beating out TTYD. I never really played the M&L series. I tried a demo of Dream Team but didn't care enough to drop $40.

Yoshi Story was pretty good but I haven't played any of the others. I would've gotten Yarn Yoshi if I kept my Wii U.

I personally think TTYD is better than every Mario game minus World and Galaxy 1!
