People don't seriously go by that poll, do they? That thing was obviously manipulated by Nintendo fans, didn't they even go to some forums to tell people to vote on the Wii U version?

A quick google search, not even related to the poll, brings up an ign thread asking people to vote for the wii u in a poll.
Even if it wasn't heavily influenced it wouldn't be a good metric of sales anyway and not worth the time mentioning.

Why are you surprised? There are a lot of Nintendo fans who think that. We even have them on this website. They will go into detail to explain how most companies have an agenda against Nintendo. Really, i am NOT shitting you.

Actually it was more to do with EA saying they won't support the WIi U before NFS come out.
On top of that add the over prices Mass Effect 3 vs the trilogy on other consoles. Crysis 3 being ready for release and they didn't do it.
Most Nintendo fans said FU back EA.
The demand was on the Wii U, I don't understand the delay.
Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

A majority of the effects are completely capable on the WIi U hardware. Besides, PS4 and One versions are considered sloppy seconds since their predecessors were dropped for 8th generation exclusivity. The Wii U can handle these detailed games, a hell of a lot better than the PS3 (which chugs and has been chugging for the past 4 years with games) and the 360 which has a RAM advantage against the PS3. Plus Nintendo becoming third party is still the most retarded idea on the internet, stop exasturbating it like it's some trolls creedo. Face the realities, Nintendo still has the money to survive as a console maker. Plus the fact that the 3DS sells more than most playstation products on a weekly basis.
Also, for future reference. Nintendo has said. If they ever stop making consoles. Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Pokemon and so on would never show up on PlayStation or Xbox or PC. They would just vault IPs, no chance in hell would they allow those communities to ruin those games.

Don't follow their site, it's just filled with trolls. However that is the statement that was issued.
I think that after so much time in development, the Wii U version was never a priority or soon stopped being a priority.
I know that It`s easy to port from PC to PS4/XB1, but those versions aren`t as old as the Wii U version. The difference in HW can`t really explain this delay by itself.
I wonder how much time it will take for the Wii U version to arrive. That will really show how commited the team was to the Wii U version.

Yeah and Im sure if the game bombs on all the other platforms first, they will be very excited to keep working on the WiiU version...

It would really hurt their reputation in the industry. After taking in money to develop a Wii U version, delaying it and either cancel it or doing nothing with the extra time... that wouldn`t be good for them.
For their sake, they better not cancel this version aswell.
