Rayman legends and origins sold best on PS3.

That wasnt what we were talking about though...

How not?  The point people keep complaining about is that the Wii U doesn't get enough attention.  Why would it, when it is never the best place for third parties to be?

So because a few games hasnt sold as well as they did on XB1 and PS4, nobody should bother with the WiiU?

Ughhhhh you know that is not what I am saying.  I am saying that many BIG AAA games have sold an insignificant amount on the Wii U compared to on the PS and MS consoles.

So with that in mind, let me remind you that Nintendo's consoles are far less capable of handling DLC (That third parties love selling), and that Nintendo's online infrastructure is ancient and far less active than the competition's (Online is a big part of the majority of games now).  You are a third party developer and  MS and Sony are fighting tooth and nail to be the "Lead" console for advertising your game.  Why in God's name would you put much focus on the Wii U version?

A few games? Don't you mean every third party game?

To reach out to more gamers? If you need the game to do 5 million on each console to break even, then you should probably skip a WiiU version.

This game is not AAA though. Its also partially funded by gamers.

The only games that have done (slightly!) better on Wii U than on PS4 and to an extent X1 are the more child/family friendly third party games.

Every more teen/adult oriented games has completely bombed on Wii U compared to the PS4/X1. That is the exact reason why most third parties don't bother with the Wii U, because they make games like these and feel that a Wii U version is not worth the effort.

Well not many teen/adult games has been released on the WiiU at the same time as the other two though.

People keep complaining about "COD and Assassins Creed are just the same thing over and over again, people should vote with their wallet", but when WiiU owners dont buy them, then its "WiiU owners dont care about third party games."

You cant expect franchises that have been established on PS3 and 360 to be a smash hit on the WiiU. The people who played them on those consoles will probably stick to the PS4 and XB1 versions. Original games or games that was established on the Wii as well usually do just as good on the WiiU.

Except developers don't spend money based on expectations alone. Market trends sway more votes than expectations, look at how EA feels about TitanFall. So far most third party games have so bad to very bad on the WiiU, which makes it a low priority. Something they know more about than you or me, hence the expected decision to put WiiU version of game son hold or cancel them alltogether.

If they would have given the WiiU an honest try, then I would agree with you, but so far they havent. The games are usually missing features or released months after the other consoles. When someone releases a new IP on all three current consoles at the same time with the same features and the WiiU version bombs hard compared to the others, then Ill understand why they wont release their games on the WiiU.
