Nope I mean superior console. Of course I do mean that considering the time it was released and the competition it was up against. The Wii U is better now, but compared to when the N64 was still new it is woefully inferior.

The N64 is the reason the WiiU is what it is. Maybe if they included a disk drive for the N64, then the WiiU could've been something else!

Doubtful.

By late 2014 wiius competition will be dropping top end software like its raining, Us chance to sale and build up a user base has now come and gone. 2014 is likely its peak year. There ill be no slow sales climb since its biggest franchises already did what ever they were going to do.

2014 is stronger than 2015 as much as I like the variety of 2015, Mario Kart and Smash U are the two remaining "monster" Nintendo IP, even Zelda does not touch those two.

What you people seem to forguet the reason the wii was so popular. Mainly it was because it was a secondary console. Anyone who had a wii most likely had a ps3/360. Right most people are worried with the ps4/xbone to be thinking of a second console yet so they are waiting. Right now the price is not good enough to be a secondary console, but I belive that by this holliday we will se a pricecut wich will give the wiiu its second wind along with all the software coming this year. I can easy see the wiiu doing ps3 levels.

The N64 was able to compete power wise with it's competition and despite having a slightly unorthodox controller it was still very useable and not all that different. The Wii U can't compete power wise with it's competition and is the tablet console.

Don't see much similarities there, if Nintendo wanted another N64 they didn't do a very good job at it.

I meant the N64 is the reason Nintendo opted for conservative consoles for their own first party software. Sure the N64 could compete powerwise, but the PS1 could hold like 40 times as much memory on it's games. That little blunder still affects Nintendo to this day.
